As long as Americans insist on owning guns, these gun crimes and shootings will continue. If we as as a society want to insist on this right to bear arms, (an outdated and unnecessary right in these modern times) then get used to gun crimes. Countries that outlawed guns saw their gun crime rates plummet to almost nothing. Piers Morgan quoted what happened in Britain and other countries once they banned guns,....NO MORE SHOOTINGS! Its your choice America. If you want your guns, fine, then Stop bitching when thousands of innocent victims (such as children) get shot each year.

I would restrict any use of automatic fire arms. A revolver/pistol is all you need to defend yourself, not AK-47s.

People had even more guns lying around 50-100 years ago in America and there wasn't a shooting fad back then.

LOL, well, with the conspiracy theorists runnin round here, I was expecting many more responses like this one. LOL. A oversupply of guns makes it too easy for crazies and really anyone pissed off at the moment to go shoot up people.If guns were hard to get, I guess mainly criminals and cops would be the only ones who have them, but I believe by far and large most shootings would cease to occur. Easy access to guns is what kills. Like I said, America, you want your guns, fine, enjoy them. But it drives me nuts to hear pro guns rights people complain about gun violence. They just dont get it. Yes there are mentally ill people in the US who do the shooting, but with guns being around, they can too easily get one on the spur of the moment .

yes, and there are countries in the world like Israel who have guns everywhere like us and they dont have the same problems. It is because we have psychos and mentally ill people driven insane by the sick US culture as Winston documents quite well witihn ths site. ANd its for that reason that the US is the last country who should allow such easy public access to guns. Our populace isnt healthy enough to handle such a huge supply of guns.

True. So the answer is to fix the underlying problem of having a f***ed up, uneducated, irresponsible society. That or have a military coup to start things over.
