I finally got my passport!

I finally got my passport (book) today! It was like I received a golden ticket for the first time! Now I'm waiting on everything else to get in.

That's great, Hero_of_Men. I got mine renewed last year. I think everyone should get a passport--if they don't have one already, or get it renewed soon because the U.S. is gonna make it more difficult to obtain passports in the future. The government wants Americans chained inside the country without a chance to flee when the SHTF scenario occurs.

Congrats! First step towards going abroad. I would encourage everyone too as well. You never know with some of the politician critters in office. BTW, can you renew your passport ahead of time?

My passport expires until the year 2022. I guess I could be safe until then.

I plan on going to Mexico first, since it is closer and cheaper. Next, the Philippines. After that, I do not know.
