'I have been through periods of my life where I had many women pursue me and other times, more often, where I could not pay someone to notice me. I never could figure this out as I basically was the same person looks wise. I am starting to believe it has something to do with attitude and the vibes that we give off. It seems that in the times I had women pursuing me, I was feeling pretty good about myself and life in general. The times when I was not so popular seems like my attitude was kind of negative inside though I was smiling on the outside. Is it possible that women pick up on this? Do men give off these kind of vibes? I have seen some unattractive men who were happy individuals draw women to them without much effort. Is it the vibes or am I way off base here?'

If I recall the research, women were considerably more confident that they could spot deception through
such things as "vibes" but the research showed that women were less likely to actually recognize a lie when faced with one.
