Honest question kai? What makes you like the USA so much? I'm just curious. You are Black aren't you? Do you think Black men get treated better in the U.S. than Asian men? Or, do you just appreciate the modernity and commercialism of the country?

There's also a flip side to this issue. What's also interesting to note is that ever since '08, the number of immigrants (legal and non-legal) to the US has declined sharply. So sharply, that the US census bureau is now predicting that the US population will be smaller by 40 million people in 2050 (in relation to previous estimates made before 2012). Most of this is due to the lack of immigrants coming in, and so demographers have had to adjust their numbers downward... way downward.

Why do you suppose less immigrants are coming? My guess would have to be because they no longer see America as a place to come and make a decent living with a good paycheck. This coupled with the fact that many Americans are seeking better jobs elsewhere, leads me to believe that my previous hypothesis was correct: That America in the last 30 years was really only good for making money.. and now you can't even say that anymore. Immigrants came to make a buck, not because of some misguided notion of a "superior" culture.

In other news, I am surprised that some Patriotic posters on this site get angry whenever someone posts some anti-America information. That very nature of this site means that many of the threads and posts are going to be anti-American, anti-USA in nature. No point to being here if it is going to bother you that much. I hate the commercialism of this country, but yes the "modernity" in a mild sense is nice, though many countries are "modern" so that is not special within itself.

I am VERY comfortable with my life here. I have obtained a fair amount of success and achievements (if you knew my whole story maybe you would think I have had great success, but I am not good at giving my self any credit for shit).. Only thing that was really missing was a kick ass wife. Had to go to China to get her, which took a long time, but eh.... things cannot always be perfect.

Kai, honestly, I think Black men do get treated better on the whole in the United States than Asian men; at least you aren't looked at as a perpetual foreigner like most people feel towards Asian/Indian men, or looked at as a potential terrorist as an Arab/Middle Easterner. So, I can see why some Blacks, such as yourself, would enjoy living in the United States.

The only problem is, as you mentioned, a lot of White men have a problem with Black people. And, yeah, we do get some White supremacists on the forum sometimes. Why? I have no idea. Winston has banned Odbo numerous times, I've banned some White supremacists on occasions, and Cornfed has alternated between being a valuable contributor to the forum, to acting like a Nazi on some occasions....But, to be fair to Odbo and co., we've gotten our fair share of Black and Asian supremacists as well, too.
