Where would be the best place to live and love?

Post by Venetienzo »

Ok so I'm relatively new to these forums. I'm young ( only 19 ) and my goals in life are much more family oriented than material. I don't like to waste time on relationships that I know won't last so I don't really bother giving sluts an ounce of my breath much less acknowledgement. Please go easy with the criticism here guys if there is any. I'm here to learn and absorb info posted on here and will try my best to give ideas an objective view. My question is to those who either live abroad or have experience in foreign questions and is this... Which country is the best to find a cultured loyal intelligent women? I mean I know everyone is an individual and that is very much true but there are social and cultural ties which link a specific group together. I personally want to live in Italy but from what I've heard there is mixed messages about finding a decent woman there. I find Arab and Korean women attractive too. I'm open to hearing which countries are the best for any of you and which are the worst and what your experiences were. I'm open to almost all countries and I welcome any advice. Thank you for taking the time to read this too. Very much appreciated :)

P.S Also What degrees or occupations are desired internationally? I want to be a police officer here in the states, however, I doubt US law enforcement jobs are transferable to foreign countries since constitutions and laws are going to differ greatly.

probably a Latin-American country, Philippines, or countries like Lebanon and Israel/Palestine.

I find Arab and Korean women attractive too.
I think Israel or Lebanon would be perfect for you, possibly even Turkey.

engineering, medicine, and business although medicine takes too long to get trained in that, and business is too unpredictable. so I would say engineering. don't do the usual english teaching route as too many guys have done and been that. basically, you won't stand out. you could do it like me and do engineering and try to get a job with a multi-national company.

No offense but before you considering a move abroad, grow up. Take a few trips to countries that interest you, save up some money, get your degree, and then consider the move.

Absolutely! Get a career before anything. And don't get married until you've dated a whole load of women. Tall women, short women, foreign women - date them all.

IT has been a good career for me. But if I was 19 again I'd be going into natural resources.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.

Thanks anonymous for answering my actual question lol Have you visited other countries before or is this knowledge based on the site? I myself went to Costa Rica and Mexico and dated over there before and I can say it was a pleasant experience not having to deal with drama and mind games.

No offense taken at all but I do have experience in dating in other countries ( Also here in US ) although it was for about a month to 2 month period and that was it. I was just asking these questions to see if there really is a better overall country. I have my heart set on Italy but I've been hearing mixed messages about whether or not this place has women that act like the typical American ones.

I haven't visited those countries. I have only met people from those countries while here in the US. I have only traveled to and lived in Mexico (when counting outside of the US). I haven't had the money to travel and my father wanted to travel to Mexico as much as the family could because his parents were really old, weak, couldn't travel to the US, and sick when they were alive. so, we would go to Mexico a lot. and now, I can't really travel because I am in school, and I can't work as much to save up to travel to other places.

What attracts you to Italy?

I ask because there is only one Italy, but several other countries with a lot of Italian blood. Argentina and Uruguay, among others. Buenos Aires has a LOT of Italian influence, even a strong Italian accent.

OTOH, if its architecture and food you're after, there's Croatia. If it's history, there's Malta and Greece. If it's bright, passionate, courageous women, there's Armenia and Lebanon.

BTW ignore these guys telling you to get a career first. Bullshit. A career will just tie you down. E.g. if you're a cop, you're stuck. If you're a nuclear engineer, forget working in Lebanon. And so on. Sure, engineering is the best catch-all major for guys who want to be able to work in many different countries. But engineering has many sub-disciplines. Agriculture, electrical, broadcast, nuclear, mechanical, electronics, mining, petroleum...

So choose the country first, then chose your career to match the near-future needs of that country, then choose your major to prepare you for that career. Then consider moving to that country NOW, as a student, and earning a degree there. You'll have to learn the language fluently, of course, but you can do that in one school year. And job-hunting will be easy, since you're already there.

I'm curious, why didn't you focus on Mexico? Did you like the women's looks or no? Where in Mexico were you? Seems to me that Mexico and Peru have some of the most loyal women in Latin America, and perhaps the world (along with Armenia and its Diaspora, and perhaps Poland and Slovakia)

But don't let anyone turn you off to Italy. There are sections of Sicily, Sardinia and Apulia that are very old-fashioned. But don't become a manufacturing engineer unless you like Turino or Milan. A good major for Sardinia might be aquaculture. And so on.

Also, remember that Europe as a whole is tiny. Everything is close. If you get into a university in Italy, it's easy to check out Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Austria...

Same with Mercosur countries - Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Paraguay. These countries trade with each other and are easy to get around by air, once you get down to the region. And they are GROWING economies.

Someone on here had suggested teaching English in Brazil for the next year or two, as an easy way to support one's self down there. Apparently a lot of demand for service workers to learn English in preparation for World Cup 2014 and the Summer Olympics also coming up. Some NICE cities in Southern Brazil will host events, including Porto Alegre in the South - very nice climate and European population.

Thailand offers a great quality of life. Just paid 169 baht for a Japanese meal (drink included) that actually had two salmon steaks that would have cost me 150 baht in the supermarket!

Life is great here :)

I just hear from some of my friends in the military that they were getting married to woman from over there. They describe them as being fiercely loyal, hardworking and family oriented. Also they told me that being there in general the people were so vibrant and open. They want to start a family young ( they range from 24-28 ) and my goals are very much aligned to theirs. I LOVE history and Greece was my choice but I heard competition is insane and I don't feel like hauling blows and investing massive amounts of my time just to be with a woman that might or might not be interested in me lol And for some reason I find woman with darker skin to be attractive. Idk why lol So I was aiming for Southern but the Economy was terrible and there's no jobs

So somewhere along the lines of engineering of any kind. Alright. It kinda sucks because I want a job that involves protecting people and serving justice. I like business too. Engineering sounds interesting also.

I like Mexico but I wouldn't want to move there. The women are good looking don't get me wrong and for my time there I was talking to a girl but I stopped because I didn't want lead her on. I visited Guadalajara, Agua Calientes, Cancun and Cozumel. All very nice places to go and see. Cozumel was my favorite since that's where they film the Corona commercials :D

I didn't know Argentina and Uruguay had strong Italian roots. Thanks for sharing that.

Another thing when you quote someone how do you get what their name on the the quote they stated? Like how you did with "Venetienzo wrote..."

I had thought about suggesting you join the military IF they will guarantee you a posting in italy AND guarantee specialty as an MP. The problem is, that when your stint there is over, you have to leave. Italy doesn't hire Americans as cops. But it WOULD get you access for dating and bridefinding purposes. Just not to "Love and Live".

I'm not sure how serious you are about living abroad permanently. Maybe a stint in the military or just a year abroad in college will help you get some dates with good candidates.

I'm not sure what Army and Air Force bases are in Italy but that's easy to research. I know we have a few.

A Navy job might work if they guaranteed a Mediterranean fleet or home port.

You want a quality woman, but you want one you don't have to fight for. Hmm, okay.
Kind of wimpy to be a cop, I'd say. You are really disappointing me.

If you're really that non-confrontational, maybe you should join the Navy and get posted to Asia. The Filipino men will not cockblock you the way Southern Europeans will.

You went nice places in Mexico, as you say. And the girls are good-looking. And you prefer dark-skinned women. But you "wouldn't want to move there". Why not??

P.S. Kind of off-topic, but NEVER trust a military recruiter. They lie like drug addicts. If you consider that path, get all offers in writing, and always bring along the oldest, meanest, most cynical guy you know when you talk to them. If they won't make promises in writing (they used to, I don't know about nowadays), then f**k 'em.

Maybe the military would be the best option. I am very set on living abroad. I have considered my family, friends and finances but I'm willing to make those sacrifices in order to stay out of the US.

I just get tired of fighting a lot of the time. Be it verbal or physical. One of my exes flirted on purpose just because she liked to see me get worked up and her reason was she just wanted to see if I cared. Like wtf? Constant unnecessary drama I don't like but a few engagements I wouldn't mind as compared to all the time. Towards fighting criminals though I'm very confrontational borderline harassing.

Just a personal preference. I just find Italian and Arabians more attractive than I do Mexican women. Plus I just find Europe more interesting and rich with architecture.

Thanks for that. I have a marine recruiter who keeps pressing me about joining and all the benefits that come with being a marine. I felt like there were things he wasn't telling me.

The only service that I would think about joining is the U.S. Air Force. I served 4+ years in the USAF, and I can say it wasn't a bad experience. But, I joined before 9/11, and things have really changed since then...for the worse. If you do join the USAF, make sure your occupation doesn't involve front-line duty or combat.

The best jobs I can think of is 1)language interpreter 2) any medical job 3)Communications & Computer Systems (Could translate into any kind of IT job at minimum.) 4) Civil Engineering (Anything from a plumber to electrician to HVAC guy.) 5) Visual Information (Would be working in the photo lab or in the TV studio. Get out and become a photographer, videographer/cameraman.)
