Because we have statistics which prove how effed up things are here, the government wants to hide it. A system that paves the way for women to profit from divorce is simply, brainless.

The divorce rate has been going down in Canada because half the male population does not want to get married. I personally know a Canadian guy that lost $400,000 when he got divorced.

I read the rate was declining, this makes sense why.
I talked to a guy recently whom after a few beer, divulged that a few years back, his wife threatened to divorce him if he didn't have another kid with him, they already had one. But since she wanted more, rather than ask how he felt about it, and come to some sort of agreement, she delivered an ultimatum. He obliged her fearing losing his house and having to start over again. Given that, it's no shock to hear him, on occasion, declare that his wife is a bitch.
