Any of you considered Vietnamese Brides?
Any of you considered Vietnamese Brides?
I find this on another blog. Mr Cupid finds virgins from the countryside (yes they are given a medical check-up), gets them a job in his factory, then tries to marry off the girls

Anyone considered Vietnamese virgin brides?
Mr Cupid International Matchmakers used to have a factory in Ho Chi Minh city, where young virgins would work while waiting to be selected by a foreign husband.

Mr. Cupid's website has disappeared, so I suspect that he has gone out of business. For some reason, the Vietnamese government has been cracking down on the matchmaking industry.

There was a petition to bring down Mr. Cupid specifically

Here an older Singaporean documentary relevant to this topic.
http://www.cutv.ws/documentary/watch-on ... Match-Made
The documentary follows a middle-age Singaporean man who travels to Vietnam to select a wife. Heavens, what a selection.
Here is a documentary on the Korean perspective.

And, in Taiwan:

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/ ... 17,00.html
So far, I haven't come across a single Westerner who has gone to Vietnam to acquire a virgin bride.
Has anyone here considered this? Does anyone here have any advice, one way or the other? Would it be better to seek a bride, say, in Thailand or Philippines?

Hi pandabear. Dragon recommended Vietnam for me when I first joined. That link is his guide to Vietnamese women.

Thank you for responding.
One reason why I am thinking about Vietnam: so many Western men have gone bride shopping in Thailand and Philippines, that I think that the locals may have built up considerable expectations of a Western husband. Also, I think that a lot of Western men are falling for Thai prostitutes, who can be very sweet and charming, but also quite hard core in certain undesireable respects.
Meanwhile, there are thousands of Asian men from S. Korea, Taiwan, China and Singapore going for the virgin brides of Vietnam. Asians are very smart people, and, generally, you can't go wrong by following the Asians.
I'm sure that Vietnamese wives want money to support their parents, but hopefully they are reasonable for the most part.

The girls I've met are great.
I've spent some time in vietnam - I built proper relationships with many people as friends and girlfriend with one special girl - she isn't a gold digger, wants to do her own thing, is still studying, insists on paying for things or taking the initiative.
will marry her down the track - I'm doing my own thing atm anyways.
It doesn't cost much to live in vietnam, especially if you no expenses, stay for 3 months get involved in a community somehow (volunteer...) and make friends.
relationships are serious business still in VN (true the ones born after 1988 or so are not so traditional, still there is no real public discussion about sex - even amongst close friends the topic is off limits...), they won't f**k you to have fun, like a one night stand situation, most will be virgins, they don't wait until married unless they were brought up traditional, they believe in love and all that. the gold diggers will probably f**k you - the genuine & sweet ones wont... sure you could trick her fairly easily if you know what you are doing as they are naive, like any naive young girl east or west.
the vietnamese people are wonderful, the values they have and ideas on community vs individualism are what i like

Funny thing about Vietnamese is that in Houston, TX there are TONS of them. LOTS of hot ones everywhere! They are easier to talk to probably out of all races down here. That said, I too busy trying to chase the ones with great asses. If I had chased the skinny ones, i probably would have gotten one a long time ago. That was a waste of time....oh well.

Vietnamese Brides in Singapore - Trip Report Requested
Okay, I have an assignment for Winston, Scott, or anyone else in Southeast Asia who might like to take a little trip to Singapore.
http://www.malaysia-chronicle.com/index ... z2jX3zIk9r
What I want you to do: go to the Katong Shopping Centre, and check out the various stores offering Vietnamese brides. It looks like acquiring a Vietnamese bride is about as simple as going to a pet shop to buy a puppy.
Bring your video camera, and interview the store owners and brides. Find out how many are virgins, and what their interests might be in marrying a Westerner who shows up at the mall. And, give us an assessment of the selection.

VN will be the first country I am going to check out due to my connections with a few females (and a guy there). Fortunately most Vietnamese can think for themselves and are not China hating, Sino bashing politically brainwashed idiots due to the Spratly and Paracels dispute. VN is a young country. I like the sense of curiousity and eagerness to know about the world that its young people have. Much like China in the 80s and 90s. I hope this does not mean the influx of Anglo capitalistic, consumerist values.
