I know many people that despite profiting financially from their education still remain in a state of arrested development in other areas of their lives.

Still need a degree to get 99% of jobs.. I think college was and is institutionalized by the elite/Aristocrats to maintain control over the masses..

It seems they're very much of the mind that they set whatever costs they like & they are more than high enough to put people in debt. This leads to a corrosive work environment- one where they keep giving people more work for less pay & figure that since someone has so much debt, they won't ever do anything back or quit. Reminds me of that movie The Rundown.
