According to this article, she is not the first one asking for support for medical fees for family members by offering herself, medical fees are a serious problem in many countries, not only in China.

Many people in mainland China are poor, making far less than USD 10,- per day. China is not such a wonderful place to live for everybody.
If she finds a nice man with money willing to pay for her family members (and I am worried those medical bills will be much higher than CNY 150.000,- in future + other expenses) then yes, I think she will stay with him 'permanently'.

Similar to Philippines however, such payments will never end...She is unfortunately not really such a good offer if you ask me.

Well, it at least shows she cares about family. She's not ugly or anything, but has a very Chinese look. A lot of men foolishly pay much more than $15,000 looking for a bride, so compared to what happens out there, this is far from the worst of ideas.

In Western countries men are even so stupid to offer huge money for women who are selling their virginity online...or pay 1000s of USD for a few hours with a hostess. In this sense this Chinese girl is not even a bad choice...

Please never marry a girl if she has one of the follow conditions:

1. Poverty stricken family. Do you really want to pull an entire family out of poverty just for some pootang? That money could probably be used for a 10 year's supply of daily hookers and it will probably still be cheaper than a lifetime of taking care of a large family.

2. Large debts or actually any debts. Self-explanatory.

3. Sick family members. Similar to poverty stricken family, see #1.

I have to agree with Dragon here. You marry her you end up supporting her WHOLE family. It's a start with her brother but you don't know afterwards. At the same time I don't know if its a scam.

This is very clever. Let's suppose she wanted to find a husband really badly, but if she stood around holding a sign, 'Looking for a man to marry me', she'd let on how desperate she was. But now, she can hold a sign up, and instead of saying she is desperate to find a man and asking what's wrong with her to not be able to find a man, people will say, "See how devoted she is to her brother."

She's assuming, though, that people are going to take one look at her and want to marry her. Or maybe she thinks someone will just help her brother without marrying her, or that someone will like her for being so devoted to her family. (Trying to get into an east Asian mindset here.) Maybe the publicity will attract some probono medical care.

Just looking at her, she doesn't look like the type of woman that most men would just want to marry on the spot. Maybe she's a 6 (from some other angle.) A man who is crazy for Asians may rate her higher.

Thing is, if that family lives in a developing country, $1000 is like $500 or $1000 to them. My wife and I were talking about the social obligation to give Christmas presents in the US versus helping relatives out in Indonesia. Honestly, I think it's easier to spend a lot more at Christmas buying people gifts, and doling out $5 mother's day cards in the US than it is to give cash to relatives in Indonesia. When I was in Indonesia $5, about $50,000 rupiah was a decent sum, what you might carry in your pocket on a trip to another island that took a couple of days if you were lower economic class.

We don't know if her family can't feed themselves. It just may be that this particular medical procedure it outside of their ability to pay it. Maybe they don't have the option of just going to the emergency room and never paying like some of the poor do in the US, letting federal funds or Medicaid pick up the tab.

According to the article, her family's savings were depleted by her father falling ill in March 2014 and her brother falling ill around new year's 2015. Her parents do not work and are full time caretaker for the bother. She is 25 years old, and since putting herself out there with the sign, has received numerous harassment phone calls.

Not saying that she is a fraud -- her father and brother are indeed ill. But be warned that if you marry her, expect to financially support medical treatments for her family, as well as financial support for living expenses for quite some time.

Something is strange here, she got some money, (about USD 3400,-) lost it in a taxi (this is what she says, true or not nobody really knows)- she got offers for work, but declines - she got offers to meet men but is refusing to meet them.

On the other side she complains about harassment by people on the phone, but is refusing to answer questions etc.

At least this is how I understand these links to the Chinese media.

Either this woman is plainly stupid or quite lazy, expecting others to solve her family problems by doing nothing except posting as a model.
I do not think after reading all these Chinese texts, that she has honest intention to marry any good man.
