I think pandabear posted this thinking it was consistent with his own biases, without realizing that it is in fact the polar opposite. Scroll down to the conclusion of the publication and you'll find that it determined no correlation between "smart people" and racial prejudices. Pandabear just read the title of the publication and thought it was fitting to his personal agenda.

Nope. I wasn't seeking to confirm my own biases. I read the article, and thought that it might give you folks some food for thought. You can post the article over on Stormfront, if you want. Give it the title: "See? We're not necessarily as stupid as we thought!"

It is not a matter of being more or less racist. Smarter people have better abilities to evaluate people and act on that evaluation, despite racist sentiment. Unintelligent types seem to be more guided by emotional considerations rather than intellectual ones.

That is to say that smart people are more able to temporarily suspend their racist sentiments in favor of more reliable information. For example, black Americans have an average IQ of about 85. The unintelligent person will evaluate all black individuals as if they are in that range of intelligence. Smart people will tend to consider cues such as speech patterns, vocabulary, deportment, status, profession, etc to come to the conclusion that they are dealing with an exceptional person.

What makes me so sure? I have traveled to scores of countries and those with low average IQs tend to be collectivist in their evaluation of me as a black person. In high IQ countries, people are generally very inquisitive and evaluative and they pick up non-verbal cues as to my intelligence which exceeds the average Asian American IQ.

So I support the assertion that smart people might not be less racist, but they tend to be more apt to get beyond racist sentiment where appropriate.

In addition, smart people are able to cover up their racism better, and get away with more. If a person of low intelligence invites you to his home, you can be reasonably certain that he has no malicious intentions. People of low intelligence tend to wear their emotions on their sleeves. The more intelligent the person, the more dangerous. People who show up at the Tea Party rallies are of low intelligence, and you know to stay away from them. Most EEO complaints are unsuccessful, because smart people in positions of authority know how to cover their motives and stay legal.

Not sure I can agree with much there. It is not about covering up racism, it is about not having to act on racism because other considerations are more important. For example, a boss who thinks blacks are mostly worthless employees can conclude that he has some excellent black employees. Intelligence enables him to come to that conclusion while an unintelligent boss would be more likely to paint with a broad brush.

Also, low intelligence is correlated with violence. That being the case, people of low intelligence are more dangerous because violence is a more imminent threat with them. The high IQ person who suspends his racism to get his job done well is far more desirable.

Tea Party people come from all strata, including he top. Many are highly educated and in tune with what is really ailing the country fiscally-speaking. Although there are some rabble-rousing hillbillies in the Tea Party, they are by no means the norm.

I have a lot of experience studying EEO complaints. Most EEO complaints fail because people did not use the assistance of an attorney in drafting them, and too many of them are bogus, weaponized complaints with no legal merit.

CE hit this pretty well, this is where the collectivist system shows it's about throwing all of us under the bus in creating a world geared toward the 2 digit IQ mentality then stating we are all the same as the builders of this system are creating a breakaway civilization for themselves.

More intelligent people can evaluate people better on a one one basis without letting their animal instincts interfere with rationally researched findings. Just look how the media is used intentionally in an effort to manipulate the less informed mass collective.
Time to Hide!

To become a boss, though, in some fields, requires a college degree. If I become a boss, I can refuse to hire black people, or make the lives of black subordinates miserable, or fire them. In building the case to fire them, I have to develop a narrative that carefully excludes any mention of race. The burden of proof is on the subordinate, to prove that race was a factor. All that I have to do is say "no, it wasn't", and that's the end of it.

Few attorneys will take EEO complaints on contingency, because most of them will fail.
