Rand Paul drops out

Rand Paul was by the far the best candidate, so of course I am not surprised to see him do so badly and be forced to drop out. May the American people burn in hell.

It's all a freaking joke. That's democrazy for you, the simpleton masses just go for slogans, fear mongering, talking point laundry lists, appeals to emotion, exposure, air time. No critical thinking, logic, or divergence.
I contributed heavily to his father's last two campaigns to exercise some money power and try to see an effect, but yes, they are that stupid.
These things are not rigged at the "voting" booth but by media exposure, very simple.
Not to make some moral equivalency, but here in vietnam it's actually a refreshing atmosphere so far, they still steal 18% of the production, but do away with the farce altogether. People just mind their own business and don't bother talking about politics, apparently. I've aAsked some of the girls about the signs that show a XII "commie" congress here, but they are clueless, can't give me an answer. one of them told me her family doesn't talk about it because "there is nothing worth talking about". And no, no one seems under repression.

1)Too much of one thing defeats the purpose.
2)Everybody is full of it. What's your hypocrisy?

Re: Rand Paul drops out
Nothing but bosom friends of Israel left now, in either party, though I hold out some hope Trump would exercise common sense in foreign policy. That's why the media knock themselves out to render Paul a non-person, as they did with his father -- their Israel bona fides aren't considered up to snuff. Not to mention the threat he presented to the Fed and the military-industrial complex.
Yes, it is kind of refreshing to see political corruption acknowledged candidly, rather than this farce where the entire assembled cast -- pols, handlers, media, etc. -- speak reverently of the U.S. as an exemplary democracy. Our corruption can match up with any tinpot dictator's regime.

But isn't Rand Paul a joke candidate who combines libertariantard fantasies with puke-making selling out?

That's why he is no Ron, have you ever read his father Ron's record ? If there was ever a competitor to Jesus for doing the right thing for the people he is it.
Ron may be able to walk on water.

Re: Rand Paul drops out
ramzpaul's comments were fair enough. ramzpaul didn't call Rand Paul a sell-out, ramzpaul just said that politicians have to make these kinds of empty meaningless statements.Cornfed wrote:But isn't Rand Paul a joke candidate who combines libertariantard fantasies with puke-making selling out?

If you compare the actual track record of Rand Paul with the other candidates, there is just no comparison. Rand Paul acts on principles.
Re: Rand Paul drops out
Such a shame, but not surprising; he was a more of a establishment version of his dad, so I knew that turned a lot of people off.
As for the remaining candidates, I'm holding out hope that Trump is who he says he is; otherwise the country is finished. I hate socialism but I do like Bernie. The problem with him, though, is that he'll raise taxes to gosh awful levels, which will destroy small businesses beyond repair.

Well, looks like it's so much for not having overreactions to terrorism & whatever other problems show up. I guess they'll turn New York into fuckin' Alcatraz when someone lights off fireworks in California. Or Egypt. Or China. Or whenever they're looking to be dicks for its own sake.
They shut down so much area when there was about four inches of snow last year (if memory serves), I suppose they'll try to capture & imprison people when it rains (or doesn't). Talking about floods & helping people & all that.
Trump really doesn't seem like he's shit-for-brains, but if he's coming up with good plans that are implemented by psychopaths or idiots, where's the benefit? There's a lot of people that think he's going to turn things around, but a good chunk of this shit that people get cranked-up about could have been turned around years ago by simple inactivity. So much is "people just doing their jobs" & the concept that "occupational" does not mean "fictional," seems to elude much of the population. The fact is that what happens is what occurs, even when someone's at work.

Rand is really pulling out all the stops to be the archetypal cuckservative. Other than going insane, the only explanation is that he is selling out in order to become a darling of the establishment.

What a sellout asshole.Rand Paul says he’s going to spend “every waking hour” trying to stop Donald Trump from getting the Republican nomination, saying Trump as the nominee would guarantee a Republican loss in the general election.
“Think if we, the Republican Party, becomes the party of angry people, that insinuate that most immigrants are drug dealers or rapists, that’s a terrible direction for our party,” the Kentucky senator and presidential candidate told the Alan Colmes Show on Thursday. “We are never going to grow as a party, we are never going to increase our vote among the Hispanic population, the black population, among women, all of those things we need to expand our party, Donald Trump takes us in the wrong direction.

Re: Rand Paul drops out
I agree that that is a pretty stupid thing to say. Rand Paul should have just kept his mouth shut and bowed out. Oh well.“We are never going to grow as a party, we are never going to increase our vote among the Hispanic population, the black population, among women, all of those things we need to expand our party, Donald Trump takes us in the wrong direction.
