I just spent 3 week in Kherson, Ukraine. I felt safer walking through the city late at night there than I do here in Austin, Texas. Ukraine is not a diverse culture. Most of the crime there is not violent crime.

As far as the disputed areas, I stay away. The reality is that, as an American, the worst I can expect is to be put on a plane out of the country, and like I said, I stay away from that area.

That's the truth. America is one of the most violent countries on earth, and has a very paranoid atmosphere and vibe. These "3rd world countries" are actually much safer places.

This may be true for the majority of the female population, but far from all. A lot of Korean (and I presume Jap) females do find white men attractive. I saw lots of hot K females with dweeby white men. If I had bought a car I could have probably got a hot K girlfriend. As it was, lots of K female obviously found me attractive and I had a better time than in Western hellholes.

...it sounds like you are personally trying to deal with the government officers who handle immigration. This is a very wrong move. You need a lawyer who will accompany you at the least and handle them for you.

There is hardly anything else what you can do, if immigration rules insist that you have to come in person and alone....
if you have all your documents complete, this is not a problem anyway.

I can only say it again, I never had any problem to spend 4 decades in Asia, legally without any lawyers and without any bribes.

Well of course same race marriages are the majority. I doubt that will ever change.

You guys say that East Asians are insular and don't mix with non-Asians but if you want to truly see an insular culture, go to South Asia or the Middle East. In those places, if a woman is caught being married to a non-indian/arab man, the woman may literally get acid-attacked.

I think some of you guys need to truly see the toilet bowl of the world so that you can realize how good other countries are. It's time to hit bottom.

You are right.

Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are not good places to look for marriage for a Western foreigner, just my opinion.
I am living in Japan as an European man with Japanese family since 4 decades.

It is true, in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, international marriages of foreign woman/local man outnumber marriages of local women/foreign man at least 2:1.

Local men living in these 3 regions are known to look out actively for a foreign (but Asian) wife, often from China, Vietnam, Philippines...sometimes also Brazil-Japanese, Thai...

There are not so many foreign non-Asian men who are married with a Japanese women and living permanently in Japan.

However in Japan in the cities you will see many mainland-Chinese, Filipina, Vietnamese etc. women and it is easy to contact them - so if you are a foreign Western man doing some studies or work in Japanese cities, you will find easier contact with an Asian woman who is NOT a Japanese than with a Japanese woman.

Japanese and Koreans are not good in foreign languages, and Japanese and Korean are not easy languages to learn. Communication is indeed also a problem - Taiwanese girls are not known to be very communicative either, check out Winstons Taiwan threads....

With that kind of thing in mind, you'd have no shortage finding a girl who would be willing to marry you in order to get a visa to America. With the exchange that she helps you get a visa to her country.

If you are a foreigner living in Japan married with a Japanese citizen does not automatically mean, that the Japanese citizen will receive a visa/working permit etc. in return to live in your own native country.

These are two different separate procedures, with two different immigration authorities...

There are also countries which do not accept pre-nups in general, like UK.

About a pre-nup, it can be done in Japan and it is accepted in Japanese courts if the setup of the contract is correct, but it is a major paperwork, not very common, and the legal fees will be around yen 300.000,- to 500.000,- (about USD 2.800,- to 4.500,-) totally.
In Japanese it is called 婚前契約書 konzenkeiyakusho. It must be bi-lingual in case of marriage with a foreigner and to register it as an official Japanese document, the foreigner has to prove his address in Japan and provide a document that he is not married yet.
The office to apply is the Legal Affairs Bureau of that region which is in charge of the Japanese address mentioned in the family registry.

I don't doubt that Japan is probably the hardest country to legally immigrate to. Although I read last week that they will be accepting 500,000 immigrants for work across 5 different industries so maybe it's changing.

Surely South Korea, Taiwan, or even China is easier to immigrate to? With a Chinese visa you could also live in Hong Kong or Macau, I think.
