The Decline of Marriage in the US, when I was curious about another cultural phenomena -

With a 1/2 hour until the Raiders-Steelers game I have time to post this -

I come away with this:
I think its more of a woman's fault she is not married and pregnant by age 30 is she's attractive and single. As the Pew Study found and something I have known about for quite some time, more women have entered the workplace. With increased opportunities, they hit the books and get degrees. Then complain about not getting the same type jobs men get in White Collar world.
This has today's Gen X women (born after 1970) career focused, more than family focused. It is true they no longer need men for anything. For income, not even for child birth. These are by far the most narcissistic women in our short history.
I think we all agree with that, so we seek Foreign Women.
With the second link, according to researchers men are also responsible for possible birth defects in children. Given the way American Media tends to operate, I'm not sure the numbers match up. I still say and according to the March of Dimes, older women having children is mostly the problem, not the quality of sperm from an older man.
With American Women holding onto tight age gaps (2-5 years) and with birth defects increasing dramatically after age 30 in Women, I have very little choice. I've been shouted down by older women who of course don't want to be told they are no longer viable as birth mothers. They always bring up example of women up to 40 or so having healthy children. But I always say at what cost? Most of these medical miracles of modern science are not cheap and with our flawed health care system; having a child is already expensive, why should it cost even more by trying to have children with somebody over 35?
Any thoughts on this?
