Concerns about "alternate thinkers"
In light of what's been going on in the US and the government's crack-down on what they term "home-grown terrorists", most recently seen in the AZ shooting spree, I'm wondering if this website will get targeted as well.
Hear me out: they just announced that the US government has subpoenaed the records from Facebook and Twitter, looking for people who follow Wikileaks, whereupon they will begin investigating those people. We're seeing this behavior from the TSA, wherein they treat you like an assumed terrorist, before you get on a plane. The list goes on and on, and I'm sure everyone has their own pet story they have heard about, all done in the name of "keeping us safe".
I notice there is a lot of conspiracy theory type talk on here, too, and this shooter in AZ was apparently one of those types, and I just hope that this website, with that talk and the open opposition to AW's will not get targets by the feds, too. It wouldn't take much for them to call us "threats", too, just because we don't follow the herd. Call me cautious, but until I get myself and my family out of the country, I'm keeping my head low, personally.
I'm just throwing this out there for conversational purposes, not to make anyone paranoid.
I'm curious what others think about this. Or am I the only one that sees the writing on the wall in this country?

I remember reading somewhere that some men's rights types seem to believe that SWAT teams will rain down on them should they gather together for any sort of activism.

Did anyone notice that the 9 year old girl killed in the attack was born on September 11, 2001? Was this a satanic sacrifice? We all know that fascism is coming to America. But, it is happening so damn fast. Get out while you can.

I don't see what you're concerned about, unless you approve of the shooting.RedDog wrote:In light of what's been going on in the US and the government's crack-down on what they term "home-grown terrorists", most recently seen in the AZ shooting spree, I'm wondering if this website will get targeted as well.
I'll start by saying that I condemn the shooting and think that it was an act of stupidity.
The US government loves to use violence, so it's foolish to try to oppose them violently. Peaceful dissent and expatriation is a much better alternative.
But yes, I'm sure the US government would like to lock up everyone who doesn't totally believe everything they hear from the mainstream US media. There's little tolerance for alternative views in America. Critical thinking is not what US society is about...
I don't think we have anything to worry about.
First, there are thousands of conspiracy sites out there. Our aim in this site is to spread awareness about international dating, social connection and happiness for lonely alienated men. The US government doesn't care about that and gives no attention to it.
Yeah there are conspiracy threads here (and I suspect that fear may be what motivates globetrotter's hatred of them), but they are mostly copies of other conspiracy articles already published online. Conspiracy sites tend to copy each other's material.
The biggest conspiracy site is Alex Jones' PrisonPlanet and InfoWars sites. They would be the main targets if they government wanted to crack down on conspiracies. As far as the government and media are concerned, we don't even exist.
Remember that in reality the government cannot police everyone and everything, so it has to use scare tactics to bully you. (and it looks like it's working on some of you) And one of its tools is the mainstream media.
If the government really wanted to stop free information on the net, they'd close down YouTube or highly censor it first. That's where everyone is learning about conspiracies. The fact that they haven't means that they are willingly allowing conspiracies to spread, for some reason. Perhaps they want an armed rebellion so that they can impose more control, as Alex Jones says.
This site isn't anywhere on their minds. So don't worry about it.

To think that government agencies would even remotely care about this web site, would be conceited.RedDog wrote: I notice there is a lot of conspiracy theory type talk on here, too, and this shooter in AZ was apparently one of those types, and I just hope that this website, with that talk and the open opposition to AW's will not get targets by the feds, too. There are far more attention seeking/deprived people who thinks getting on this list is a "badge of honor":

I noticed that but make no connections. The only connections I made are obvious Right Wing talkers constantly stirring the pot, that's the connection most of the media won't make because they don't want to be attacked by the Right as being partisan. That's why most of the major networks are saying this is the fault of the heated speech on both sides, which draws a WTF from any sane person.MrPeabody wrote:Did anyone notice that the 9 year old girl killed in the attack was born on September 11, 2001? Somebody wrote in another post that he's see the Right and Left sling mud at each other. That might be true but the Left doesn't try to insight violence as the Right constantly does and it really doesn't matter who your listening too. Lars Larson, Mike Savage, Rush, Bill O'Riley., etc, etc They also have said kill somebody or shoot somebody at some point. O'Riley constantly talk about Dr George Tiller until he was killed. Larson said something about if the Feds come up to his property he would shoot them. Erick Erickson of CNN said something to the same effect.
The proof of who's fault this is, is out there, its all over You Tube its easy to find. Its still a tragedy.
Don't forget Arizona came up with all kinds of excuses not to have MLK Day...
