Asian immigrants returning to Asia

I have a coworker who was born in Vietnam, moved to the U.S. when he was 12, and just a couple of weeks ago he moved back to Vietnam. He's in his mid-30s and although he wouldn't say it, I wonder how dissatisfied he was with life in the U.S. He wasn't married or dating anyone, and he lived in a small apartment in a not so great area of town. I remember he visited Vietnam on vacation a couple of years ago and he seemed so happy when he was telling us about his trip. He told us that it has developed a lot since he was a kid and that it is a fun place to visit. He moved back to run a family business.

I've heard of a couple of other Asian immigrants returning to Asia later in life, so I don't agree with people who say that everyone wants to come live in the U.S. and nobody wants to leave because it's the greatest country on Earth. Many immigrants come here to make money, but some of them do go back to where they came from. If life is that great here, why would they leave?
