Should Winston Make Me a Moderator?

Ok let Pixel--Dude mod on a trial basis but he's got to be watched over carefully. One screw up and he's gone. I think it's up to Winston if he feels this forum requires another moderator.

Also do mods have the ability to edit posts? I wouldn't like that. I know that Winston sometimes edits the subject line of a thread - a point I made to him that I strongly disagree with. He shouldn't do that. He could PM the poster and suggest he change the subject line but he shouldn't do that himself because it's not what the original poster intended to say.

So any new mod here has got to be kept under strict controls.

I'd probably go for Pixeldude. He's active. I think among the old-timers, @gsjackson and @Yohan are both a bit older, both level-headed, calm and fairly active. They'd make good moderators too and would no doubt be fair about things. If what you aim for his strictly seniority in combination with "the right temperament" they'd be my go-to guys.

Yeah, I agree 100%. Pixel-dude would be an ideal moderator here.
I also love this forum but am too much of a psycho to be a moderator (not that anyone asked me, LOL) and I either need to be on the bottle or on the women, so just got myself way busier with business and travel plans so I can stay off the bottle (and either on the women, or at least keeping myself too busy to start tying on one as early as 3-4pm LOL).

By the way: Hopefully this place will stay online, but if this forum ever did get shut down we should have at least some background discussion on how to set up an alternative later. (There has been some interesting stuff going on with jews trying to accelerate the shutdown of basically any alt-tech that allows free speech, and after they cancelled Kanye West's bank accounts at the ZOG JPM Bank I noticed there's some new upcoming alt tech payment processor alternatives, as well as alt tech social media....)

I suggest to make another seperate poll in a seperate thread so as not to disturb the results on this one. One poll would be: "Would this site benefit from having an active new moderator", yes or no, very simple and straight forward. Next up you just tag everybody's account, ask "who would like to be a moderator?" and compile the lists, then we can make a multi-option poll and see who gets most support.

That'd be... the truly diplomatic way to go about this. Either that or just give you the position already because the strongest opposition seems to be from useless trolls like @Mercer and @Mew6ix and nobody cares about their votes or opinions anyway. There's at least two "no" votes here that we can discount as being from known disruptive trolls.

The fact is this forum doesn't have enough members to demand another moderator. This forum doesn't have a few thousand members, not even a few hundred active posters. Just a handful of members consistently posting. No more than a dozen.

I think @Winston and @fschmidt are doing a fine job.

Had no idea about bi-polar (I don't really know what it is), but a bunch of people just said Kanye supposedly was that too, and I say: You two guys are OK!

The forum certainly could do with an active moderator and the arguments as to why that is the case have already been laid out. Pixel--Dude seems to be the only one who wants the position and I think that he'd make a good moderator too.
