Sausage-fests in gyms

Post by well-informed »

I don't think i've ever gone to the gym where there were more women than men. Not once, and i live in New York City

Last time i went to the gym there must have been like 60 guys to like 8-9 girls. No joke

And i know that there's more of an incentive for a guy to work out, than a girl because FAT GIRLS can get laid and be in relationships if they so choose to. That's how rigged the dating scene is against men. If you put these same american fatties in a country like Brazil, Russia honestly they'd would be extinct because of the lack of male attention they would get

For those who've been abroad, do you notice that foreign women make more of an effort to be lean than the ones here in America? Surely i would think they do

In Europe, yes. In eastern Europe, however, once they get married, they tend to plump up, but that is changing, too. In the Pacific Islands, Caribbean, and parts of central and South America, the women definitely get fat after marriage. I chalk that up to really unhealthy diets that catch up with them, though. Too much fried food and fatty stuff.

While you are correct that most gyms have more men than women in them I have noticed that the Anytime Fitness chain of gyms seem to have roughly an equal number of men and women.

Go to a gym next to a major university. i.e. 24 hr fitness next to UC Irvine. Back in 1990's I'd go with a friend, and they had a "stretching room". It was quite a sight.

There's also a 24 HR fitness Ultra in Irvine, service level is much higher but members tend to lean to the snobbish side.

You're probably right, i'm just trying to say to me in seems WAY more men are trying to get fit than women are. For the sake of attracting american women. The reason fat girls get dates/sex is because of the way the dating scene is in America :/

@Bien-Informadito,

Was this at Planet Fitness or something?

There are many women who work out in Curves (woman's only fitness & weightless center), take yoga, dance, fitness classes (college), etc. Unless if you're in the right place, you won't see/interact with them. Back in Fullerton college, I took a ballet class and it was 30 girls to 3 guys. I meet my 3rd college GF in that class. Check out your local Yoga and Dance studios.

@ Fenomeno Irizarry

Lol how did you know it was PF

@ Momopi

You may have a point that these types of exercise classes attract more women than men, but honestly men are too prideful to attend yoga classes. You would take a serious hit on your "man-card" if other men found out you do that. The most i could probably do are salsa classes

Dude, the economia is bouncing back just a tad here in our city, and most people go to recession-priced Planet Fitness because of how cheap it is. Thus I assumed you were budgeting too.

You don't have to take Yoga, you only need to be in the mindset to walk around a brick wall when you see one.

Note; I live in OC so my perception and methods as based "locally".

If the movie tickets are too expensive, you find a local dollar theater where high school kids take their dates:
http://starplexcinemas.com/subpage.php? ... terid=1013 ($2 movie tickets)

If you walk around a local college and see all the pretty young Asian girls, but can't hit on them because you're old enough to be their father, you can still go to a Vietnamese bikini coffee shop, leave $20 tips and have girls in g-string sit and flirt with you:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/cafe-lu-santa-ana (click on photos)

...and if you want to go to a "club" and be guarenteed to get laid, you can drive 2 hours to San Diego and take a cab to Zona Norte in TJ:

In America, if you don't have a degree, the government will give you $$ to get a degree. You can get good paying jobs that enables you to save $$ to travel overseas, and if you don't like to sit in a cubical, there are many traveling and field service jobs avail. If you don't like commitment you can be a contractor -- as of this month I have left my full time position at work and is now a part time contractor for field service in the Canadian region. Opportunities and options are out there, you just have to look.

I have a male cousin studying music. He received a full scholarship for Yale, but he whines and whines about how he'd rather take a break from school and get a job at "Best Buy". Finally his mother convinced him by offering a $150,000 USD cash bribe if he went to Yale. His reason for not wanting to go? He wanted to study something in addition/other than music. I told him that he could look into major/minor and double majors. He blinked a few times and said "oh yeah!" >_< Some people just don't understand how good they have it here. That money is probably from his material grandfather who worked his ass off in Brazil for decades to build up his ranch, then gave it to his mother.

Oh, that's definitely a sign to really avoid American women.
There aren't many attractive women (inside and outside) in America. A man wants a physically attractive woman with attractive personality traits. American women usually don't have that combination.

Ever since I found Winston's website and read the information on there, my life has been much easier and I've been a MUCH more happier person!

No matter how good she looks, some other guy is sick and tired of putting up with her crap. ~Author Unknown (Quote about women)

In my area, I see loads of college girls running and I always think to myself, "Whats the point, you all will not be excising at 30 and begin to become fat or will already be fat."

One reason why gyms have more men is because men are inherently harder workers than women and yes, they want to either look good to get laid or have more stamina to do the deed.

Women have a much lower tolerance for any tiring work(read:LAZY).

Find a woman who"works hard" and ask her if she has ever played basketball 8-10 hours in day, ran 10 miles or done weightlifting for 4 hours a day for 3-5 x a week or even 3 days a week for an hour consistently.

Very few have or will. Its not in their nature.

As someone on this forum explained, or quoted someone else, the whole game with AW is to get her hooks in a man so she can sit on her fat ass.
And if she has kids, then divorce him and live off HIS hard earned money.

Lastly, there are some incredible female athletes, who work their ass off, such as Chinese weightlifters who dominated in the 2008 Olympics. And the US has many strong female powerlifters.

But these are the exception, bacause woman run away from hard work in most cases.
I would rather make $2000 a month working for myself, then $4000 a month working for a bitch.

It's ironic, because I live in a country with a rigged dating scene also (Australia). However, as I've disregarded Australian women completely, I've also exercised less than I used too. Funny, really.

It seems like a lot of guys get buff toned bodies to "out alpha" other guys primarily. This is especially true in the U.S. where dudes walk around with six packs, booth tans, and serious man haircuts to intimidate other guys. Whereas if you look at asia guys adopt that girly metrosexual look more for women and aren't constantly posturing against other guys.

It's really interesting to see this phenomenon. I find men from the english speaking countries to be hyper-aggressive in part because of this.

That is a great point. Men here most certainly want "out alpha" other guys.

And for what, a white woman? Please, you can have her! Get back to me when she sleeps with your brother.

As for asia, I am not sure if this is the same thing you are talking about but I could not believe the number of bakla (gays) in the Philippines and certainly guys in general are expected to be soft and feminine, especially their voice and even their childish giggling is girlish.
