I honestly think no matter how tough things are, us men can solve any problem, especially if we combine the wisdom and experience of each other and also not judging each other like the other like what happens on other forums
Listen your damn right i started to use my knoggin again and i came up with this:Auto Mechanic. I used to be a Diesal Mechanic in the Army now i will go back for Auto Mechanic. No women bosses no drama. Stay away from Banking,Pharmacies, Hospitals,Call Centers. Construction is male dominated too. 98% of my male bosses treated me fair.

I shall think about that. Keep in mind that I want to move overseas.

TRADER1972,

Yep, this is a good place to be, though like ErikHeaven said, we do have disputes and such. See the recent posts about Winston and his son. It's all good though!

My work place? Like I said, I have to be careful, but then again I'm a touch paranoid about such things. I do like my job because it's easy, it's pays enough to live on, and the benefits are a tad generous. I work with some really good people. I work with some interesting people. BUT I don't agree with the social engineering I see these kids embracing and the college promoting. Perhaps I'm just not open-minded enough. BUT I'm not someone whom wishes to force their views on anyone, BUT I don't want anyone's views forced on me either. I like having the freedom to state my views, and if someone has a view that's different, I will consider it, and perhaps even agree.

Thankfully, flying under the radar is something I'm quite skilled at. Maybe someday I'll tell you guys some things you just might not believe about the social conditioning going on with young people. It is their world though.

I'm not trying to hijack your thread TRADER1972. Seriously I hope this is the first step in a better life for ya! Everyone has their own path, sometimes it's hard to take that first step. Perhaps getting fired is your "first" step?

Hero,

Your best solution is to either get a better degree path (as in something that is either engineering/technology) or possibly graduate with you current criminal justice degree after you transfer to Univ of Texas - SA or Austin. You can then take a 1-month prep course to get your TEFL/TESOL or you can pay (if you have it) and get your CELTA. I am not sure if you are good teaching but even though through people telling me I was good at teaching, I could not do it and I decided that I will at least you my degree to go for a traineeship, which brings me to a third option.

Since you are relatively young, you can try to see if you can somehow do a business/education/development internship (summer during school and/or 12-18 month one for recent graduates 0-3 usually) The organization AIESEC is the one I am using and they are usually at most universities. Here is the University of Texas - Austin webpage: hxxp://www.aiesecaustin.org/

I am setting up to go to Vienna with them now. It is relatively hard to get a 1-1.5 year internship with them but it happens. The issues if finding a country that you can work with while you are trying to have a social life and career in different countries. I am currently trying to work in IT in Austria and possibly look in Germany, Austria and other countries for social, trips and possibly women if it happens. So, I hope this gives you one idea.

So, as a young man, your best option is to either do ESL in another country. Work is easy in Eastern Europe, South America, and Asia. Private message Ladislav who has done teaching for a while. I believe that he even has his masters in Teaching as a Second language. He works mainly in the middle east and because of oil (black gold) he currently has to pay no taxes on his pay compared to us who work in the US. The US govt still taxes you but you can keep your pay up till $80k or so.

Honestly, AIESEC is good if you are in school and want to do an internship. You can also do it when you recently graduate. I think that having limited thinking and being scared of the unknown stopping me from going to Mexico while now, I am going to a place that I wanted to go because of the opportunity to see Europe. The program at AIESEC is not cheap. Basically if they were more clear (and tell you the costs) you have to pay for certain things. I am doing a technical internship so I had to pay a lot $675 for the program costs, plane ticket (one-way), fees associated to documents (for processing visa), preparation (items needed for your trip). Fortunately, I am actually able to pay because living at home (With low rent) and having a low paying but decent job I worked at for a year, although I worked for about 2.5 years although I have been out of school for around 3 years.

There is also information on another internship program but you need to be business/IT oriented. hxxp://www.abb.us | hxxp://www.abb.com/cawp/abbzh253/774715edc4aa1 ... b93df.aspx

Hero, I hope this helps for you. I think for your standpoint from AIESEC you might be able to try the management/development/education internship. I hope this helps you.

TRader, i'm sorry for your firing. You got ripped off totally. It's worse when a woman in this country causes your firing (you typed that she had an attitude the first encounter and then gave you a worse attitude the second encounter). I'm just curious, can you name a few things that the women at your former job get away with?
There aren't many attractive women (inside and outside) in America. A man wants a physically attractive woman with attractive personality traits. American women usually don't have that combination.

Hero, no problem.

TRADER, they were going for you. I think when the person told you, I would have been submitting my resignation and saying because of recent events I have to leave work. Same thing happened to me over a lead at my job not understanding him and I messed up after that my boss (a woman) decided I was done. I was able to resign (govt position as a career intern is not good having a black mark) and then I basically decided to not work in government again. I never thought it was for me and I realized it was not. Hopefully you can find work and still get good references from people that might be able to explain why you were fired but not bash you in the process.

I'm just curious, can you name a few things that the women at your former job get away with?

Let me list a few things that come to mind. It would take some time to come up with a comprehensive list but here are a few examples of what women I have worked with get away with.

1. I was a store manager and assigned a second store to fix a mess made by a AW manger who should have never been promoted in the first place. In a short time I noticed that one female employee was stealing. She closed the store alone every night as midnight and in the last hour she would do fake refunds for $50-80 a day and totaling about $500-$800 a month. I did not have records available due to sloppy, messy record keeping to see how far back this went.

In any case, I informed this AW , who was of the lowest order with the worst attitude possible, that she was fired, I had found out what she was doing. I had taken her off the schedule of course. She proceeds go all drama queen and after threatening me several times, she calls HR and makes up a bunch of crap, male bashing as I recall and other lies, in other words, attacks me and HR proceeds to tell me to put her back on the schedule. Keep in mind, that typically a cash shortage by a cashier of $100 or even less has cost men their jobs at this company many times, but $500-800 a month of stealing by a female is o.k.

2. I was a manger assigned to a new store. One of the AW demons named Nicole at my new store WAS sleeping with the prior manager named Lawrence. They were a couple, but tried to keep it hidden as it was against policy. Now Lawrence was transferred to a better store, in a better neighborhood and a store which earned 10-12K a year in bonus money. The store he left and I took over made ZERO bonus.

Despite Lawrence getting a huge raise, Nicole was out to get me from the first day. I guess she felt insecure cause she was such a pig and now Lawrence was 12 miles away, he was always flirting with other girls, and she could not service him in the office. NO LIE! So she used to blow up my pager every time the next person was late she would call my pager with 911. She would do this every few minutes over and over again. And it did not matter if I had just worked 16 hours straight, 80 hours a week, wife pregnant, father dying..... all that mattered was that SHE WANTED TO MAKE MY LIFE HELL and I was supposed to JUMP cause she said JUMP.

Well on New Years EVE, I accidentally sat my store keys down and went to the back of the store. When I came back they were gone. The only person who could have taken them was her. I asked her and it was so obvious she did it out of spite, but she denied it. The location of the keys meant only she had access. So I called my district manger and our policy was that I had to have all locks changed before I could leave the store!

This is on New Years Eve about 5 pm.

So I had to track down a locksmith and pay for emergency service, plus some holiday fee and wait for several hours until he came and 3-5 ? hours for him to change all locks, including safe combination , etc. I do not remember the cost but I am sure it was at least $400-$500.

So I spend my New Years Eve unable to leave my store due to this evil woman. Keep in mind my wife was 7 months pregnant and my father just passed away Dec 15, funeral Dec 22 and this bitch Nicole still did this out of spite.

I will post more.

TRader, i'm very sorry about this. First off, my codolescences go to your father. People (especially women) at your job get away with things. They're aware what they're doing is against the rules (one of the women did fake refunds, one lied about knowing the whereabouts of your keys, and one had sexual relations with the previous manager). One of the worst things someone can do is do something, not admit they're wrong, and not realize it's a wrong thing. My advice is keep following the rules. You're a great manager because you follow the rules :D

Iamawesome60, thanks for your words. I actually was a great manager.

My store was so consistently great I became a training store manager and my district manager said" If all my managers were like you, my job would be a piece of cake. "

The only area where my store had problems ....was customer complaints.

I used to be very forgiving to my employees because I knew the crap they put up with. My employees mostly very loyal because a good boss(I hate that word) is hard to find. I took the heat for the complaints rather than let them take it.

What sucks now is that the workplace is so feminist oriented that being a good manager is a almost irrelevant.

I just wanted to share some of my experiences because many people have no idea what kind of things they get away with and its informative.

I just told my son yesterday he needs to be sure to find a career where he doesn't have to put up with womens crap.
I would rather make $2000 a month working for myself, then $4000 a month working for a bitch.

Exactly, that it. Things are so much better in male dominated jobs or at least male bosses.

My experience has been that even when I had a confrontation with a male boss, they don't dwell on it.

That's the big difference. Women on the other hand remember everything, forgive nothing and plot revenge.

Best wishes to you.
