Yes.. and the worst part is..it is kind of considered as a "quasi-religion" for the normie masses. So if you want to be fully integrated into normie society and network with normies than you have the like sports and hang out and play some sports with them.
Unfortunately for me, I find football so bloody f*cking boring and football was considered a big deal in my high school. That's one of the reason I got excluded into normie world.

In South America and Europe, Soccer is considered a big deal there. But at least they don't exclude other people based on not liking soccer.

Is that true though? One of my worries about moving to Latin America is that I can't pretend to care about soccer. Hopefully I get a pass for being a gringo.Natural_Born_Cynic wrote: ↑June 4th, 2023, 10:45 amIn South America and Europe, Soccer is considered a big deal there. latin americans are a lot more chill because they have a culture, americans OTOH dont have a culture to ground them so they become tribal about arbitrary things like sports or whateverperegrino wrote: ↑June 4th, 2023, 7:50 pmIs that true though? OK thats just my theory, it could just be an anglo cultural thing since the UK also has football hooligans.

Yep, take a look at Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, etc. They are crazy about soccer. However, I find Latinos really friendly and they still invite you to their place even if you don't like soccer. It's not a big deal for them because they know your just some "gringo"(slang for American person) over there.peregrino wrote: ↑June 4th, 2023, 7:50 pmIs that true though? In contrast, in American U.S society, I find if you don't like football then you are considered as a "heretic" or a "wierdo". If you say you don't like basketball then not such a big deal but if you say you don't like football then it's a big deal. I live in the East Coast. Football for Americans are a religious experience for them.

Re: do NPCs always like sports?
Sports are extremely boring and normies will consider you a weirdo if you don't have any interest in them. I tried to watch sports and find them uninteresting. Even sports videogames that normies like such as NBA, FIFA, and Madden are f***ing boring compared to other videogames yet normies seem to prefer them to other games and they sell millions of copies every single year. But it's true that normies won't like you if you don't care about sports. I've noticed a trend of outsiders on forums like this where people don't give a shit about sports yet normies love them for some reason. I also don't understand athlete worship where normies become obsessed with certain players.

Not really, a lot of people quit on sports the moment it went into woke territory. So telling someone you don't like sports wouldn't make them think less of you.Natural_Born_Cynic wrote: ↑June 5th, 2023, 6:34 amYep, take a look at Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, etc. They are crazy about soccer.
