Ryan Discusses Japanese Culture
@Yohan Can you elaborate more if you would?
At 8:28, Ryan tells this story with some expert insight into Japanese culture. If Japanese people are pissed off at you, they won't show it. Instead they will be very indirect, and subtle with their angry. He even says that they can smile at you but underneath that smile they really don't like you.
Very weird of Japanese people to do it that way.

What you hear here is not the average japanese woman, it cannot be taken seriously. I guess as this interview was recorded in Tokyo near Shibuya Station likely in the area with many love hotels and strange people there around, these girls are freelancers and offer some sex services to passer-bys.

Why Foreign Men Struggle Dating In Japan
I am now away from the large cities since about 7 years and not so young anymore, so I can comment only in general.
First of all do not overrate Japanese and other Asian women - it is so-called yellow fever - especially if you are a young man coming from a typical feminist Western country.
You find good and also crazy women everywhere, also here in Japan - but Japanese women in general take care of their body, are rarely overweight with a BMI 30+ (2 % only), they try to communicate without a man-hating mistrusting attitude, but as a foreigner you will find out soon that Japanese (and Koreans also) are not good in foreign languages.
Just my opinion, looking for a Japanese girlfriend/wife, it makes only sense if you as a foreign man continue to live in Japan for long-stay, have a job and if you are able to communicate in the local language - Japanese.
Japan is not an easy place for looking for a Japanese girl. It is more the opposite, there are many more Japanese men married to a foreign (usually Asian) wife than Japanese women looking for a foreign man - outnumbering them more than 2:1 (data collected by the census every 10 years).
Not only foreign men, but also Japanese men struggle to find a reasonable female partner. (same situation in South Korea and Taiwan)
If you really want to try it in Japan, the only good place to look around is within the large cities only - as there are more young women living there compared to young men. Tokyo/Yokohama - Osaka/Kobe, also Nagoya and Fukuoka - but elsewhere?
However this proportion is changing considerably in smaller cities, which are often very dark with very few people in the streets past 09:00 PM and if you check out rural areas you will find almost only old couples and some young men taking over the business from their parents - Japanese young women often almost not existent.

@Yohan
Also why don't you post photos of your experiences in Japan?

He does not say anything wrong - but I am not sure if these stairs he talks about it are public area or already stairs which belong to the private area of the restaurant owner.kangarunner wrote: ↑November 15th, 2023, 8:10 pm@Yohan what about his story at in the video...

It's however not because he is a foreigner, a Japanese in the same situation would face the same experience.
In general it is correct to say that most Japanese try to appear calm when outside and in contact with unknown people, regardless if they like or dislike somebody or something - but within their own family it is often different and for sure not all Japanese are so friendly and honest people to each other IF they know each other. Not all families are violent-free, not all co-workers are friendly to each other.
I can say, reaction from Japanese when I had to contact unknown people for the first time for whatever reason are unpredictable.
1 - Many are indeed very helpful
2 - but some are not (I have such experience too, but rare)
3 - there is another group of Japanese people and it is a rather large group, which is neither helpful, but not really against you - I do not know a good word for it, but they consider you as 'invisible' - just treating you like if you do not exist for them. This is not only against foreigners, but there are also complaints from Japanese people about that...
