Judging a Culture by its Music
I made a post showing some beautiful traditional music from Vietnam here. I've been searching for some wholesome music from Thailand and Vietnam.
When observing the music that the people of a country listen to, we can see how the music that's being produced reflects the people. For example, the below music shows how beautiful and loving the people are in Thailand and Vietnam. In contrast, if we observe the music that's produced in America, we can see that what's being produced is the result of degeneracy, lewdness, decadence and a total lack of decency. The very things that most people in America seem to value the most of.

I don't think that it is so simple as to be able to judge a culture by its music. Here are the reasons:Pixel--Dude wrote: ↑October 15th, 2024, 11:10 pm@kangarunner and we can see what kind of culture Britain and USA have judging by the absolute shit they produce musically.songs that just go on and on about p***y, money and putting a cap in someone's ass. f***ing tripe.
I don't know why @Winston thinks Britain is some kind of paragon of culture, with tea drinking Mary Poppins like characters who are all nice and polite. Britain is a mirror image; a microcosm of America. This is why @Lucas88 and myself f***ing hate it here with a fiery passion. I dunno what other British people who might be here might think like @yick and @CaptainSkelebob2
1) Rather than being merely an organic reflection of a culture's values, music is also a tool of social engineering used by the elites to promote social decay and nefarious agendas.
You can see that especially in the Jew-controlled US and UK music industries, which began to prepare the youth for the NWO agenda and promote drug-induced navel gazing as early as the 60s with the Beatles ("Imagine" is practically a NWO manifesto), then increasingly pushed androgyny first in the 70s with Glam Rock groups fronted by effeminate stars like David Bowie and and then in the 80s with the likes of Prince and Rick James, and finally destroyed any remnant of decency with the ubiquitous promotion of rap culture and the shitty values that it represents.
None of this stuff reflected the social values of the time; it was all foisted upon society by Jewish record companies and intel spooks.
2) A lot of music doesn't represent real life at all but rather fantasy and an escape from reality.
Especially since the 80s with the advent of MTV, a lot of music has been all about creating a certain image that appears "hip" and marketing it to the world. In many cases the image that a group presents is as unrealistic as movies and TV.
This brings to another topic.
@Winston keeps sending me clips from old movies that are supposed to show me that Britain is a soulful and sociable place and asking me if Britain is a beacon of civilization even though I've explained to him again and again that Britain is a miserable alcoholic shithole with shit culture, shit architecture and shit people and that movies are just fantasy, a concept that he doesn't seem to understand. Maybe the Matrix stole his brain!

The UK is an awful place, well - there are nice parts but you need money and a lot of it to live in them.
Where I live and other places like it (the majority of it) are awful.
Simon Cowell is a lot to do with the decline of British music, he has single handed destroyed the concept of the 'Christmas no.1' which used to be a national event. Those cunts singing about sausage rolls also became a no.1 hit - the country is going downhill, town centres are closing down, people are getting angry. I am on the same page as you guys but I have left and will never come back to live. Once my old dad leaves us, I will never return full f***ing stop.

Re: Judging a Culture by its Music
You can certainly judge a culture by the commercial noise it puts out. I was just in a Grab here in Malaysia with a young guy driving. On the radio, three songs played. I've been so thoroughly brainwashed by American culture that I knew all three of the songs. The first was by Pink, the second by Nelly, and the third by Avril Lavigne. Then a few minutes later, 21 guns by Green Day came on which was slightly better. Let me make something clear: That wasn't music. That was shit. Loud noise. And the young kids are drinking all the shit in. And then after they drink this shit, it makes their brains shit.
When I'm at home with my girlfriend, I'll play this kind of music which is much more calming and relaxing.
The only solution is to do what Morris Berman says and withdraw from the mainstream culture and conserve your own values. That's only if you cannot leave the culture you're in. If you can, obviously get your passport and find peace. Many older guys in their 40s or 50s in America are too proud to leave their stations where they've already marked their territory. They're clinging to their guns and their big Ford trucks and their pride and their American flag and singing the national anthem because it makes them feel good to have that sense of belonging. America is truly a bully country.

@Winston This is the music that you can sometimes hear played at night when the locals are outside eating and drinking together. Sometimes they will sing karaoke to songs like this one.
Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I can put on some folk / traditional Vietnamese music and it instantly calms me down. I could never do that with America's manufactured music.
