BAW and Sexter are now unbanned

Sexter created a new thread about BAW and continued the flame wars, instead of just PMing me about it. That was a bad move.

Then it appears that BAW flamed ViperVenom with violence. I told him to stop, but Viper was not part of the flame war circle anyway. He was a new member.

Whatever the case, I've banned them both, BAW and Sexter, since they continue posting flame wars. And it's hard to tell who started it. Sometimes, they both start it.

BAW, next time Sexter starts a thread about you, don't respond, just PM me about it.

You guys, I'm tired of dealing with this senselessness. When you come back after the temporary ban, if this continues, I'm just gonna hand the ban hammer over to Larry Laffer and have him take care of all the troublemakers on his list. I am tired of trying to make sense out of the senseless.

Wow... it would have been more prudent for them to just use the PM feature than duke it out on the forums... some people are real drama queens lol.

To all:

I went ahead and deleted the new threads about BAW, since they were superfluous and shouldn't have been created in the first place. I left that one thread that was a poll about whether BAW should stay or not, and moved that one to the Suggestions/Feedback section, where it better belongs.

So if you have any more comments or questions about BAW, you can post them in that one thread. We do not need multiple threads about BAW.

Once BAW and Sexter returns, we will be able to determine who flamed who first more easily. If it is unclear again, they will both be banned again, and next time the ban will be longer.

Hopefully they will not post about each other anymore. If they have a problem with each other or notice any violation or flame attacks by each other, they can report it to me by PM, but please do not create new threads about it. That is disruptive and unnecessary.

Yeah, you can start by actually BEING the moderator of your own board instead of a lazy, indecisive, weak-willed p***y. Nip these things in the bud like you're supposed to -- and for Christ's sake, stop asking your forum members for suggestions on how to run your own board! Be a MAN for once. Jesus.

Ban the shit outta BAW, and the bullshit will end. He's the instigator. The rest just instinctively have a feminine attraction to drama of the manginal variety.

If you don't want to do it, make me moderator for 10 minutes and the child will be history.

It is quieter certainly, but in a way, I kinda miss the antics of BAW, and Odbo. I hope they come back to the forums. I always liked Sexter, too. Since I've been posting on HA since 07, I've seen a lot of posters here and I miss some of the older folks like DiscoProJoe and Globetrotter. Wonder what happened to them? I'm glad the old timers are still here like Momopi, Jamesbond, Ladislav, and Grunt. I even miss Gordan the racist, LOL. Happierabroad is definately growing though, and that is definitely a good thing.

You are right that I am often indecisive though. Sometimes decisions cause anxiety, so I prefer not to make them.

I first discovered this site through the true forced loneliness movement. So I assumed Winston was just an opportunist and that any forums he operated would just be filled with "Why don't girls like me??" etc. But it was a topic odbo had posted that took my interest and led me to discover how this site was something more than that. Had it of been one of BAW's shitty topics/rants/advertisements, I would have x'ed out of it immediately.

In order to make the forum grow, you need fresh, insightful material to lure people in. BAW certainly does not contribute that, which alone should perhaps justify banning him. But when he's blatantly advertising disingenuous material for money, flaming and driving away top contributors and posting with new accounts when he's banned, it's time for him to go.

That's unfortunate to hear about them. We'll, we've been getting lots of new members here, which is a good thing, but I hope we still have some of the older members still here in the future. I think having two full-time moderators besides yourself Wintson, would do wonders here. If a situation gets out of hand, the moderators can always issue a warning to cool things down. I know when I was in the situation where someone verbally attacked me, some of the other members would step-in and stop the verbal assaults. That helps a lot.

Yes, you are right Lavezzi. The thing with BAW, I don't understand why he is so angry all the time. You would think he would be happy being overseas with his Indian wife and living away from the crappy United States? I know I would be, but that's just me...

No offense, but there's an inarguable observation to be made that Americans seem to be taught to believe things as heard. You should be skeptical about anything anyone ever tells you that you don't know as fact beyond reasonable doubt. When you live by this rule day to day, you develop a skeptical nature which allows you to observe things more clearly and therefore make better decisions in life. It's very clear to me that BAW does not live in India and has had very little contact with females, let alone had a wife.

Perhaps I'm in the minority here. But I think its a real shame that you drove-off Odbo with a temp ban which apparently pissed him off enough that he doesn't want to return. Dd you ever take the time to fully understand what his beef with BAW was about? I found him to be one of the smartest and most creative posters on this board. And since you've argued so strongly in favor of CT in the past, I reckon you would appreciate him at some level too.
