Last Friday, December 2, 2011, at 6:38 am, I walked out to my car parked in front of my house, only to find it had been hit from behind during the night and is now a write-off. The person that caused the accident(hit and run) was long gone and obviously drunk at the time which is why they never stuck around. Later, the same day, the person(20 yr old bitch) that caused the accident contacted me after her hangover wore off. Today, she calls me and tells me the car she was driving is actually her dads car and asks me if I'll accept a cash payout so her dad's insurance company doesn't findout.

What she doesn't realize is, of all the guys, in my city of 90,000 people, I hate white women the most, I f***ing hate them! Naturally, I was more than happy to decline her offer and let my insurance company take care of "business". Car insurance, for a 20 yr old with a clean drivers license, is about $3000/yr., with an accident it goes up to about $15000/yr.. Hopefully, this means she'll be on roller blades for the next ten years, or she'll have to drop out of college. I'd show you her picture on facebook but I'd probably get sued.

If she was intoxicated and left the scene (hit and run), you should call the cops and file a police report. Technically, hit & run is a criminal offense, but since she did contact you afterwards and offered compensation, that may be taken into consideration by court. Also, auto insurance companies can void your policy if you commit a hit & run.

In the State of California, hit & run from an auto accident is punishable by up to 12 months prison term and $10,000 fine.

Yeah, I called the police and they immediately found an Audi symbol at the accident scene followed by a huge chunk of red bumper. There's not many red Audi's(her car) in my city so its a good thing she fessed up before she was arrested. I'm not sure what the penalty is for hit and run where I live but it won't be cheap.

Also, she made up an insane story about how her boyfriend's brother stole her car and then crashed it into mine at 3am because he has mental problems, that will look good on the police report.

Falsifying a police report on an auto accident is a 3rd degree misdemeanor, punishable with fine and possibly jail term. If the person had knowingly gave false information to law enforcement officer with intent to implicate another, that becomes 2nd degree misdemeanor. I don't know what State or Province you live in, so you'll have to check with your local/state laws.

As harsh as this might sound, it's better to teach her that there are real consequences to her actions, and her father's checkbook cannot just make them go away. It's preferable to scare her straight the first time, than to have her screw up something much more serious later.
