French Socialists vow to eradicate prostitution in France.
French Socialists vow to eradicate prostitution in France.
And of course, the targets will be the men...

With France facing a very possible banking collapse this year, you would think they would have better things to think about
than trying to regulate the clamming industry out of existence.

Re: French Socialists vow to eradicate prostitution in Franc
Stupid, stupid, stupid! Why would the socialists do that? This will only drive the sex-industry underground. Shouldn't they be more concerned with the bankers trying to loot the country rather than on some petty prostitution clampdown?OutWest wrote:And of course, the targets will be the men...

LOL..true enough...but in France the Socialist p***y cartel wants to protect their franchise!momopi wrote:If someone in France wants to P4P, he can simply take a bus to Amsterdam.
Of course, even in France it will never work, and France will have much bigger worries very soon when their banks start collapsing.
A few months and they are toast.

It makes no sense for socialists to be against prostitution. If the goal is to have workers control the means of production, well, that is certainly the case with prostitution! A woman's body is the "means of production." lol
I would assume that the French politicians are doing this just to distract people from something else.

Prostitution is LAWFUL.
The sooner men realise this the better.

She sounds like a raving dyke - see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Najat_Vallaud-Belkacem She's not married and is a feminist! Strangely, most feminists defend prostitution as "a choice for women," but not her.
Everyone who worked with prostitutes and every studies in europe about prostitution say the same thing, besides the psychological mindfield prostitutes find themself in, the biggest problem faced by thoses women, and the more discreet men in this trade, is violence and marginalization. Violence from criminal gangs, violence from some customers, violence from the police in some cases. Everyone knows that this violence is enhanced by, if not generated by, marginalization. How can you complain of violence when your activity is not legal? When the minister for women's right in effect tags you as the source of the problem and thus denies you any chances to access any civil rights?
Why is prostitution a problem? Objectively the problems are with human trafficking, with pimps, with drug addiction. All thoses problems that made some people very vunerable, all thoses problems made 10 times worst by penalizing prostitution itself.
I found the minister proposition very symptomatic of a popular discourse that almagate prostitution itself with the criminal activities generated by its very grey status in the french law. There is also a brand of moral conservatism, very popular with middle class women, that sees prostitution has a moral disgrace and wants to save those "poor women". Prostitution is not always a choice, and when it was a choice it is not always easy to get out of it when people wants to. What the minister should do is work for people in the sex trade to have better rights, better medical access, better police protection when they testify against violence.
How cute of the minister to go after the prostitutes working the street and the lower type of customers, when the more organized gangs and wealthy customers do their bussiness behind close doors. At least her fellow MP have no risk of being bothered.

"Woman is a violent and uncontrolled animal... If you allow them to achieve complete equality with men, do you think they will be easier to live with? Not at all. Once they have achieved equality, they will be your masters." Cato the Elder
All the BS claims that forbidding pay as you go form of prostitution is to protect women is of coarse a smoke screen by the insecure women fearing the competition. Driving pay as you go prostitution underground makes it more dangerous for the women involved. Really all women are whores, and fair payment is the real issue. Socialism wants a pay guarantee regardless of performance. Socialism wants a pay guarantee even if you violate all the terms of your agreement. This has obvious appeal to the bitchy, fat, obnoxious women who cannot compete against more service oriented women.
The trafficking thing is more women looking for new ways to be exclusive victims, all bullshit.
Women who take up looser lifestyles, like becoming a drug addict, they have the option of whoring to make easy money, this is something guys cannot do. A lot of women whore around to support themselves. They can become totally unemployable in any regular kind of job yet still survive as a whore. Something guys cannot do.
Guys who come from third world countries are taken advantage of doing dirty, dangerous and degrading work for little money. They are lied to and cheated by there shady employers, why are they not calling that trafficking?
Like the uneducated North Korea masses that flee across the border to China, the North Korean women have value as whores, North Korean guys generally get shot. Who is worse off? I think it is better to be living than dead.
