Is Facebook bad for guys who date multiple women?

Post by Winston »

I was wondering something. If you are dating multiple girls, or courting a number of girls, then wouldn't it be bad to add them all to your FB friends list since they would all see each other?

How do guys who date multiple women handle this?

Also, if you post pics of the girls you go out with on FB, then wouldn't all the other girls you like on FB see them as well? Wouldn't that be a disaster for a guy who's dating multiple women? Or even for a guy who likes to meet multiple women since it makes him look like a playboy? Wouldn't that look bad?

I get the impression that FB is mostly for people who have a clique of friends that all know each other. But for guys like me whose friends are all scattered in different areas and don't know each other, FB might be kind of weird and pointless.

What do you think?

It is bad if the player or so called playboy is stupid enough to post incriminating photos or even give himself away with a status update.

Arrange you settings so none of your friends can see photos of any of your other friends.

There are way easier places to play online. FB is probably the NWO of tracking people.

Players will know how to get women, do the dirty deed with them, and dump them with as little trace of evidence as possible. A good player should be able to meet, hump, and dump a woman without even needing to get her FB. Leykis 101 students are trained to not even give out their real name, have sex at her place (or anywhere else suitable besides your own address), even avoid exchanging contact info if its a spontaneous one-nighter, et cetera.

I had a co-worker who was using FB to hook up with old high school classmates. I think he was being pretty discrete about it (all conversation through PMs, no pictures, little FB wall/status activity, etc).

Wouldn't that look suspicious though? Do you do that with your FB account? Plus it will look like you have something to hide. Either that, or it may look like you have no friends. lol

When I say playboys, I don't mean guys who shag women and then dump them. I'm talking about guys with multiple relationships or multiple love interests, like Casanova types, who genuinely like more than one woman at a time and will see them more than once of course.

I've never understood why you would want to dump a girl you are attracted to, just because you've already had sex. Do guys really do that? Or is that just a stereotype? Wouldn't the guy be afraid of not getting anyone else if he dumped every girl that he slept with right after?

What is the definition of a player or playboy? Are they the same thing? What do you call a guy who just likes to have multiple relationships with women, or likes to seduce them but will see them again on a regular basis rather than a one time thing?

If you are dating 2 girls at the same time, add one to your FB and the other to your google+. Set your profile to private. If you are dating girls overseas there are multitudes of other social networking sites like qzone, renren, FaceKoo, Cyworld, etc.

The people who have that kind of "lifestyle" make sure that the other participants know that exclusivity is not part of the deal.
In those cases "FB" has another meaning.

Facebook would be a dead give-away - it says your "relationship status" for heaven's sake. So hide your account so she doesn't find it!

I'm not sure that's a good idea. Nowadays, lots of social networking is being interlinked, so that if they find one, they will find another. Google is trying to link everyone's YouTube and Google Plus accounts now, and will constantly bother you about it if you don't.

Maybe it's better to just set your privacy preferences so that new girls will not be able to see all your photos or other friends?

Be VERY CAREFUL guys with Google+!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will automatically share your photos you take with your phone and send it to your profile without asking! You have to turn that part off.

Facebook is like twitter, if you don't want it publicly known, don't post it. Every blue moon you will make a privacy setting mistake you did not think about.

I always screen people before adding them to Facebook. My account is private and only friends can see what I'm up to so you can share your info with one of them and tell the other that you rarely visit Facebook (or you use it just for professional purposes).

Anyway, I don't encourage being with 2 women at the same time. You wanna be treated with respect then respect others and don't mess with their life.

I think it's OK to date multiple women at the same time, as long as you're not sleeping with any of them and you're not actually engaged to any of them.

I have a special Filipina friend on my friends list, and she knows that I have a lot of other female admirers, but she's cool about it. She knows that right now I have no obligations to her.

I can't believe how many of my real-life friends have refused to add me to their FB friends list. When that happens, I "unfriend" them for real.

Facebook is terrible for having multiple women you are dating. It's hard to balance. AW and savy foreign ones, will use it as a tool to watch you. They basically wait to see you slip up or keep tabs on your hoes too.
