When I lived in the states I found the Phoenix, AZ metro area a mecca for dating and getting laid. Since it's basically a bunch of cities next too each other in a straight grid format it's easy to get around and meet people whether they are American or from another country, I met both. After living in other places before and after AZ, I think if you're single and don't mind the excessive desert heat, it's a viable option. The only issue I had was the semi-regular theft. If you park your car in the wrong place or neighborhood it'll eventually get broken into. I probably had to replace every car window on my car at least twice around, even the back one. Assholes would smash the windows and set the alarm off but wouldn't be able to steal anything of course. Luckily there are lots of junk yards around to get cheap car parts rather than going to the dealer for original glass.

Actually, looking back I probably could have gotten a lot more ass in the Phoenix area if I had tried to put more effort into it. If you were single, had your own place and a car you were good to go living there...
