Good to hear from you Yohan. Glad you are doing well.Yohan wrote: ↑March 13th, 2020, 10:30 pmThere are no plans anymore for my next decade, which could be the last decade in my life... Where are you now, in 2020, and where will you be in 2030?
So far all is regulated in my life, no problem so far with myself, wife, 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, 1 fosterdaughter...
Financially secure up to end of life, I am owner of a nice condominium unit in Japan and Thailand, car and motorcycle, health insurances which will pay my medical bills... nothing missing.
Really happy now, just enjoy my life....

No idea what this question has to do with this thread, totally off topic.
However a rare moment where I agree with Cornfed and his reply.
You should never be 'the best friend of your children'. I am of course against any form of child mistreatment, but you should never act as a naive do-gooder who thinks he can always solve bad child behavior only with a kind talk...
Not so few stupid parents who cannot say 'NO' made the bad experience later on to visit their children in jail and realize their mistakes they made...
Sometimes you have to regulate behavior issues using some force, consider that as to put on the 'emergency brake' - otherwise your children are smart enough to consider you as a hopeless idiot who allows them anyway to do whatever they want.

Ten years from now, a man may have children who need discipline. OP also writes about having children and more of them.
Prudence is the knowledge of things to be sought, and those to be shunned.

For me everything is OK, openly said the best time of my life. I am not really rich, but if I look around in Asia and see how some people have to survive, I am truly far away from being poor...I should not complain about anything. For me the idea about relocation - 'Happier Abroad' - was the right decision.

Hopefully retired.
A brain is a terrible thing to wash!

Actually, I haven't think about it until I see this discussion. Once I saw this, I thought about what actually I've planned for the next 10 years. Nothing, I felt guilty upon myself and determine to plan my next decade.
