Don't think having Italian roots make you stand out or somehow connects you to something better, I've been to Italy over a dozen times and it's nothing but an expensive overrated travel destination with average looking women, run down cities covered in trash and graffiti that resemble at times Mexican border towns like Tijuana, plus embarrassing infrastructure.

It's funny how Italians have a country's rivalry with Spain and France, but the spaniards beat them on just about everything, from nightlife, to infrastructure, to modern cities, to better wine etc... and massive amounts of Italians migrate to France in search of a better life!

The only ones who think Italy is some sort of magnificent place full of magical landmarks and quaint elegant cities full of piazzas, with marvelous women walking around getting ready to harvest grapes, dressed up in some sort of traditional dress smiling and walking sensually tend to be tacky proud guidos in America who have never been out of their ghettos in NJ or NY.
