I think it was Ladislav who said, "In the Philippines no guy goes more than a week without a girlfriend." Now compare that to the United States where it takes the average guy 3 to 4 years to get a girlfriend. Not only that, in America it could take a year or two for a guy just to get a date with a woman.

It's incredible how much difference location makes when it comes to things like dating and meeting women. The dating scene is equally difficult in the UK, Canada and Australia. No wonder why so many men from those countries travel to the Philippines to meet women.

I think this has been discussed millions of times before.

Finding a girl who will want to give s*x to a foreigner in the hope he will "fall in love" with her and start the gravy train on her (and her family), that's extremely easy here in the Philippines. So easy you could literally be f**king a girl in the airport toilets as soon as you land (real story!).

Finding a girl who is genuinely attracted to you and doesn't throw herself at you for the hope of a better life, or of having white babies, that's considerably harder.

Guys let's please stop idolising the Philippines and the Filipinas as the land of cute browrn angels ready to rescue the pu**y-starved first-world man. Like in the US, girls truly worth being with take years or living here - not even mentioning distance relationships. When I was in Davao I would have s*x with 3 different girls every week, sometimes 3 just over the weekend. Finding a girl I wanted to marry took almost 3 years, of continously living in the Philippines.

That's the thing I noticed. Men from the Anglosphere and Northern Asians are a bit more cynical and pragmatic about "love". They say "she loves me because I give her security and money, and so what"?

We Europeans tend to be a bit "dreamier", we usually don't want to settle for a functional relationship. I have personally been happy to f**k everything that moves and breathes, but when it comes to a long-term relationship, I knew exactly who I wanted and it took me years to find her.

A man from America can go the Philippines and meet more women in one week than he can in 3 or 4 years in the US. That just goes to show how ridiculously difficult the dating scene is in the United States.

Like Winston has said, the US is probably the most difficult country on the planet for men when it comes to meeting women. All the Anglo countries are difficult places to meet women, the US may indeed be #1 in that category.

Well, foreign men have a reputation for womanising Filipinas, especially the young, poor and gullible ones.

There's definitely a stigma around foreigners, unless the foreigner can immediately signal himself as an outlier, e.g. he's young and handsome, unmarried, posted in the Philippines as an expat, making very good money (a few thousands a month, by local standards), etc.

And even then, Filipinas who have options would rarely consider a foreigner as a first choice for a relationship/marriage. Many of them don't even want to have anything to do with foreigners. I see this a lot with the Fil-Chinese community in Davao and Manila.

The rest of the Filipinas might be as sour as you want them to be but, if the prospect is that of having a rich white man helping them and their kids/families for life, they're happy to take risks.

That's why playboys for the sake of being playboys never go that far in the Philippines. Whether you're a local or a foreigner, you need to at least allude at the possibility of a relationship to get the girl to easily put out.

There was a pretty girl in Davao I was trying to date. I met her through common friends. She was smart and pretty and she knew she had options. She was still a virgin. After a few months I heard from our common friends that she was attracted to this "dark and handsome" Pinoy boy, who was a no-gooder. She lost her virginity to him and was immediately dumped by him.

Then, out of the blue; she messaged me on FB saying she wanted to meet me in my house and was very sorry for rejecting me. She sounded like she wanted to throw herself at me. So I asked her if she ever actually liked me.

So yes, average Filipinas are still a lot easier than girls in the US. The moment the average girl gets out of abject poverty, or has the means to go abroad or gain her own independence, she will be just as picky and flaky as a US girl.

I agree here,my wife MUST find me handsome and like my character/personality and have similar values as me.I am a simple man that just wants the little pleasures of life like good s*x,good food,good weather,nice environment and nice people.money to me is a means to a end.

Well, but that's the point. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a girlfriend, under any circumstance.

Filipinas are well-known for having low expectations, and that is because of what you say - they believe all white men are handsome, rich and can change their lives once they have one or two white babies and go live abroad. As soon as they realise that they have some options, for example because they live in a city where foreigners are not so rare to find and they get to meet two or more of these men, their neurons will immediately start to fire and they will start making their little arithmetics.

Should be the same for any decent foreign man, especially if relatively young (30s), never married and financially stable. Why settle for the unimpressive dark-skinned, uneducated girl met at the airport (10 minutes from landing) when they can have a girl who is finishing college, who speaks English a bit better, has a bit more of an inner life, and perhaps is better looking?

You shouldn't want a girl to be too easy. If she's easy for you she was easy for the previous guy, and she will be easy for the next guy. It doesn't take deep thinking to see how that can be bad in the long run for both you and her.

Neither do you want too hard like in the West. I'd say just about any Asian country EXCEPT the Philippines is closer to a happy medium.
