Advance was a project created by Italian producers Dario Raimondi and Alvaro Ugolini. As far as I know, "Take me to the Top" is the only track that the project ever produced. Vocals are by Ivana Spagna and Linda Wesley.
"Take Me to the Top" was released by X-Energy Records in Italy in 1982 and then by Polydor in the US in 1983. It peaked at number 55 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs Chart that same year. It was even played at the legendary Paradise Garage nightclub in NYC.

The bassline and vocals are epic!
I love funky beats from the 80s. That was a time when music was absolutely f'n' awesome and full of soul but I missed it by being born too late.
