Just got back from movies and TV is blasting this news. Sounds like he wasn't even the target and fortunately, it sounds like he will survive. Taiwan is in the midst of local elections now. This is reminiscent of a bygone era when mafia figures had a much more visible presence.

This guy worked in Taiwan office of my last company for a short period and in spite of his celebrity status and tall stature (about 6'4"), he behaved as a very humble, laid-back, and down to earth guy who was nice to his colleagues.

Wow that sucks, wrong place wrong time. He's connected with the current nationalist party so he's one of the good guys too.
