The Baltic Dry Index hits the ominous 666 level - the lowest point for this time of the year on record.

Not only that they are claiming this is a recovery when in the past it was the bottom for a crash when the index was this low. They are trying to program the youth that a depression economy is normal for the modern world economies.

Some of this will be due to lower fuel cost.

Adjusting this index for the price of fuel would yield a more meaningful picture of actual demand for container space.
