The US constitution isn't anything like the Bible in that way- if it were, the liberals/leftists/progressives would buck any gun infringement & wouldn't persecute the whites (being as the whites would now be the ones being "created equal" & not being treated that way).

I listened to two minutes of it and it sounded like blathering nonsense to me. He threw Luther into his discussion of Puritanism. He thinks Luther thought Christianity wasn't hard enough? That's a very inaccurate description of the Reformation. Luther was dealing with people who thought they could get time off of purgatory by going to Rome and climbing up stairs on their knees and stuff, and he was teaching salvation by faith. His critics must have thought he wanted to make things too 'easy' in a lot of ways.

The Massachusetts colonists were Separatists, not exactly Puritans, but rather an offshoot, btw. The Puritans tried to purify the Church of England. The Separatists left it. And they were persecuted. So why would they have gone into COE churches and burned stuff?

Progressives don't treat the Bible like the Constitution. Conservatives are more prone to defend the Constitution. Progressives want to tear stuff down, metaphorically, that doesn't fit with their ever evolving idea of contemporary morality and justice.
