I'd never subscribed to one of these sites before. There seems to be pretty shady stuff, like charging quite a bit for some apparently bulsh*t 'credits'.
And you also get some supposed 'admirer' canned messages, I guess to get crushed-ego western guys to spend some "credits" replying Lol.

It seems like quite a lot of BS, but It's easy to start thinking with your second brain when looking at the site, given that I still have MONTHS before I can leave.

Is anyone familiar with this? Please shed some light so I can come back to my senses and cancel it.

No it's a scam - stay well away from that site.

I met one lady through it and she was real, but many guys spent $1000 - $10,000 before they make progress.

Instead you can just spend $30 a month (maybe less) and join Chinese Love Links. I've met around 30 CLL ladies now and NEVER been stood up.

That crap had all the red flags. They really reel you in with the pictures though.

I'll probably take a look at the site you mention, although I've never been that keen on dating sites;
I found them' girls friendly enough where one can just meet them normally in person. We'll see.
