She went from Teacher of the Year to having the book thrown at her.

Jacqueline Ma, 36, is heading to prison for grooming and sexually abusing a pair of elementary school students. On Friday, a judge sentenced her to 30 years behind bars, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

Ma, San Diego County’s Teacher of the Year in late 2022, was arrested in April 2023 and pleaded guilty in February to two counts each of forcible lewd acts on a child and possession of matter depicting a minor engaging in sexual conduct.

I am deeply ashamed of my actions and the harm that I inflicted.

I ripped away their childhoods. Instead of following the path of what a teacher should be.

I let my selfishness override the boy's best interests. I'm so sorry.

Boys this age should be playing outside feeling carefree and enjoying their last few years of childhood.

There is a fundamental asymmetry between boys/men and girls/women. Most boys need to have sexual experience with females (not homosexual experience, in other words) to be ready for courting girls, otherwise they end up like Tsar, whereas girls should remain virgins until marriage, because otherwise girls are unable to bond properly to one man. So who are these boys going to have sex with, if girls are off limits? The only possibility is older women. In addition, society needs to encourage girls/women to be sex and penis obsessed, otherwise we get an epidemic of frigid wives who won't have sex with their husbands, women cutting off their breast and taking testosterone to become "transmen", pretend lesbians who disfigure themselves with tattoos and shaved heads and then don't have sex with anyone, etc.

On the other hand, 11 and 12 years old is too young. But 14 yo boys and up is fine, except the women should not be in a position of authority like a teacher. But some debauchd middle aged woman who hires 14yo boys to do errands for her and then pulls their pants down and has sex with the boy is okay, but she shouldn't be able to ask for child support. 14yo boy is usually plenty strong enough to fight off 99% of women if he doesn't want sex with her. Whereas girls regardless of age typically can't fight off a large older man. Fundamental asymmetry.

There are African tribes which specifically arrange for boys to be introduced to sex by older women.

30 years is too much. She should get 1 year, loss of teaching license and pay financial compensation to the boys.

This is one of the few times I agree with Shemp. 30 years - life is too much. In some countries you get 25 to life for murder.

I also agree with Shemp and Voyager, 30 years to life is too much. ridiculous sentence.

However USA is a country often with strange laws, which are totally different from one federal state to another. What is a felony in one state is 5 miles over the border in another state perfectly acceptable.

The amended charges carry a longer sentence. If convicted on all charges, she will now face 185 years to life in prison, instead of the 165 years to life in prison.

She should know about that and use her brain before acting like that.

I would say, she should be banned to be a teacher for life of course, as 11 years is too young, it shows pedophile tendency, she is a sex-offender and no job with children allowed in future. Jail sentence is OK, maybe 2 or 3 years and then released on parole.

If she - after her release on parole - is approaching minors again, that should be another story however and she has to be locked up for many years.

Interesting to read that she is married, was living together with her husband. I think, divorce will come soon for her, nothing mentioned in articles about her if she has own children...

I would say, give her a chance, but only for one time....

This woman will 1) lose her job 2) stop paying taxes 3) become a burden to the U.S. taxpayer for 30 years.

The prison systems in America are run by private corporations and they push for maximum sentences. The judges are in bed with the corporations. The more heads they have in these prisons the more tax dollars they get.
