I am a female member of this forum but don't post too often. I'm more of a lurker than anything. It's nice to read the male's perspective on things.
Do you have any plans to go abroad?
Most of the men here have a strange way of looking at life, I always thought that women did not think much, but I've noticed that men in this forum has a lot to learn about life, of course not all but if the majority.

I can fully understand your viewpoint. I've been to Spain many times as well as Portugal and I can say there is little difference between the Western European countries in terms of the level of social connectedness between people. I believe the lack thereof is mostly determined by the amount of wealth and prosperity a country has. It seems that the more wealthy a country gets the more it's people become prioritized by pride and achievement, which is basically the desire to feel superior to others. As human beings, our most basic need other than to survive is to feel connected to others. As we are living in a system where the main aim of life is to strive to be "successful" and achieve things for oneself, this is contrasting with and blocking out our basic human need to feel connected with one another. Which might also explain the high rates of depression, suicide etc.
In terms of meeting women as a guy there is an undeniably huge difference between Anglo countries and non-Anglo countries. Women in Anglo countries are treated so well by society as a whole that they have little motive to seek a partner and are content with just having female friends and using guys for entertainment purposes (generally speaking of course). However, I do know UK women are far better in this regard than Irish or American women. Which is what has led me to the conclusion that as well as feminism the US media may play a big part in what is at fault here as it is blatantly misandric in nature, much more so than the media from the UK. In Ireland we mostly get an influx of television content from the US. What people see on television does appear to have a large affect on their attitudes in real life.

I'd just like to say WELCOME to all the female members on this forum, old and new! Please, try not to be afraid of men's viewpoints on this forum. People come from many walks of life, and are forced to learn different things about themselves. Much of this may offend you or you may not understand it, but that's part of the fun of learning about the unknown. You never know, it may even solve a problem you have.

It is clear you have some type of inferiority complex by the way you go on about the west and the white American man.
case and point. Do I quiet down to appease blockheads, trolls, and deceived people who spout pseudo-psychology. Or do I stand firm and voice my disgust for the soul-crushing homosexual culture of America which we got from our former enemies the English. Considering I don't hear too many bringing up what's really wrong with our world, most choosing to discuss anything but what actually emancipates one's mind, I'll stand firm, prepared to lose popularity and make enemies with idiots as a result.
I am also a female member that does much reading on this site, but I also do not post often. Winston's essay on individuals who would be happier abroad describes me perfectly, except for the fact that I'm not a man. It's refreshing to come to a site that tells it like it is, instead of telling it like it isn't which has become the US standard these days.

I kinda stumbled onto here but after reading some I found this site really interesting. I like reading about the perspectives on here it's pretty educational and interesting. To those I upset earlier I don't really hold any animosity. I was just stating my point, but overall this place is not like anything I've seen yet.

Welcome Brandie. Your posts in the other threads are very intelligent and insightful. That's refreshing and impressive for a female in the US. How did you get that way? Were you always a thinker, or did something turn you into one? Do you feel like a misfit in America too?
