I'm not seeing how Winston got "owned" here. Winston has put up countless pics of Angeles city and to me it does look exactly like how Winston describes it. Plus the girls there certainly look a little harder on the eyes than even some of the hardcore Thai bargirls in my opinion. Your average Filipina whose pics guys have been putting up certainly look very low quality to me. Even the ones Rock put up wouldn't rate very highly in Thailand at all. Maybe a 4.

A lot of expats who have lived in both countries have always said quality of life in the Philippines was worse than Thailand. Don't get me wrong Bangkok's pollution is shitty though but I think both countries are probably comparable in this regard. Plus you can avoid Bangkok's turd lined streets rather cheaply. I tend to believe that based on relative gdp and quality of food and accommodation available. Thailand still wins out.

On the other hand I can understand why some people defend the Philippines. Some expats prefer it due to the language and cultural issues. If we're just looking at p4p though I don't believe the Phils is better. Here's the difference..in Thailand if you want to bone some girl that looks like a tv newscaster you can find one for a reasonable price. In the Philippines it seems like the low class uglies are far more common in p4p and dating.

Winston got "owned" because since he has never set foot in another P4P type environment, he is comparing Angeles City to Bellevue Washington or wherever he is from in the U.S.

It's like eating chocolate ice cream for 5 years, never having tasted any other flavor, and stating that chocolate ice cream sucks and here are my 10 points why it sucks.

Every country Winston ends up traveling to will eventually begin to suck in his mind. BECAUSE its in his f***ing mind.. Yeah thats right if Winston stays in any country long enough he will end up bitching and writing reports about what a shithole it is that is because , obviously, nothing is going to live up to some fantasy expectations he has! Take this advice: DONT TAKE anyones advice about the specifics of such and such country. Go there yourself and have an experience that is free of preconceived notions!

How did I get owned? Nothing I said was false or inaccurate. My 15 reasons why AC sucks is true and factually accurate. Every expat I met agrees with me. There is nothing subjective about pollution or dirty streets. It is self-evident even from a picture. I can easily take photos of Angeles City and prove it all. Anyone can. There is no gray area here.

Billy, YOU are the comedian here, not me. I make serious factual points and logical arguments. You are the one who is not even living in the real world. For example, you said that in a public seminar, I could talk about race and compare race. Everyone knows you can't do that publicly in front of lots of people. You don't make good points. You just make stupid points. You contribute stupid rantings with no substance. You are not deep or logical or accurate.

Truthville is highly subjective and dumb and biased. In his logic system, ANYONE who disagrees with me is right and anyone who says I am wrong, has automatically owned me. Therefore, if someone says "Winston is wrong. 2+2=5." then I've been owned in his view. That's the kind of dumbass he is. What a waste of time. Angeles City falls somewhere in between what Winston wrote about it and what this "Korski" stated. However, everyone will experience the city in their own way so some things would be more burdensome for others to deal with than others depending on one's own pet peeves in life. Personally, I don't find AC as bad as what Winston says it is but I don't find it as good as what Korski says. I do agree with Winston though that the writing isn't really that great, just overly emotional. If he is considered one of the better posters, I'd hate to read some of the worse ones.

Another thing is that being a tourist and visiting periodically vs. living long term will give one a different impression of the place. Winston actually lived there 6+ months or more at a time for a few years so he will see things that a periodic or sporadic tourist will not. When I lived in Bangkok Thailand for 3 months straight I noticed a lot of things that were not as apparent to me as when I was just there for a couple weeks. The city actually lost a bit of its luster as one had to deal with the everyday grind of life.

BTW, I'd been going to Angeles City since 2003 and have noticed a steady decline of quality looking girls to choose from as well as a steady increase in prices. The bar owners just seem to be wanting to pack in the bars and create a lot of numbers to choose from rather than being a bit more picky and have less girls working but better looking. So I've been less inclined to go there as much as I used to. I only visit there every few months. I guess if you are an alcoholic and don't care much for quality looking women it's okay, but hands down Thailand has much better looking women in their bars to choose from. I mean in AC now they are starting to pack in chunky women with stretch marks or skinny women whose tits look like the African ones you see in National Geographic pictures. You gotta be wasted half the time to enjoy what you're looking at. If I had the extra money I'd be happy to enjoy myself a bit more in Thai girly bars than PI ones. The only thing PI bars have going for them is the girls can usually speak basic English, but actually a lot of the younger ones coming from the province can't. So that may even be sliding now. I travel all over the PHilippines to different cities and talk to expats in bars and even they say the AC bars are getting shittier. It's not just me or Winston saying that. Ladislav says it too and he lives there right now. We were just talking about that the other day together about how AC girls are getting uglier and uglier every year. Personally I think AC hit its peak between 05-07 then starting in 08 it's been progressively going down hill. Just because they build new big shiny new bars in the last few years doesn't mean the actual quality of the girls have gone up with it, only the prices have gone up and the bullshit you deal with now with the Koreans overspending on girls; ha ha.

HE is just flattering you because you probably never stop badgering him about his post and whatever his replies are to your challenges. He just felt it was a no win situation arguing with you. So he just felt it was better to walk away then continue wasting his time arguing with you. You didn't win the battle of wits, he just decided to surrender and get on with his life.

Interestingly enough some guys here have said similar things about Thailand's p4p nightlife scene. You realize this makes some economic sense because in '08 many western nations started to go down in flames but Asia has still been relatively prosperous under these global circumstances. I've always figured that the bulk of sex tourists are probably asians from neighboring asian nations. So times aren't as lean for many asian nations and the men have money to blow on hookers and vice. Western sex tourists make up a far smaller percentage. So my guess is business is better than ever for various asian nations so the businesses can afford to edge up the prices and lower the quality. It's just basic supply and demand talking.

But don't you see? It doesn't matter what he really thinks, because TECHNICALLY, he did NOT refute any of my 15 points, and all expats I talked to agreed with them. They are a no brainer and self-evident. There was nothing to debate. Korski did not disprove anything. So he won nothing. And I lost nothing. Bottom line. My points are all based in fact. Win or lose, my points are accurate, factual and provable. Even you know that. So what was there to debate or contest?

You are right about one thing though. There is good and bad in AC, and it depends on what you want to focus on. The negatives I described about AC are objective facts that exist in objective reality. However, if you have fun with the girls and enjoy it, then you are focusing on something positive. So, both good and bad things are there, and it just depends on what you want to focus on. But I think it's safe to say that in general, things in AC are low quality, low class, and low culture. And the pollution and dirty streets are objective facts too. It just depends on whether you want to notice them or not. That part is up to the person. But what I describe exists in objective reality.
