That was actually quite good. Did Pat Robertson miss his calling as a marriage counselor?

"Trying to find good American women is like trying to ice skate in a volcano."

Well, he doesn't have any women followers after saying that but its time for Pat to retire anyway. However, the divorce rate for middle class and wealthy women is five times higher than it is for women from poor families so I would agree, its the womens fault.

Not that I agree with 90% of what the Religious Right says, they are mostly right around issues of marriage and fidelity. Modern women are appalled Old Fart Roberston would make such a statement in 2013 but...

Do you disagree? Do we have a culture that almost encourages women to play the take me as I am card and gain as much weight, look sloppy and dress too casually too often? Even Gerald Celente complains about the over casual nature of American life. There is a blog with pictures Director Stanley Kubrick took when he was a child/teenager in the Depression. All the women looked good, dressed nicely, wore dresses almost exclusively.

The push of masculinity onto women by encourage them to smoke was Edward Bernays idea -

The original question perhaps was more about his father being largely uninterested in the boy's mother for other reasons.
