Okay, so we outbreed all the cancer genes and then the super smart remnants all create a model society run on hyper efficient nuclear power. Then something goes wrong and there's a meltdown and everyone is irradiated...and gets cancer!

Or how about after all those 95% morons are gone the rest all have a party and some of them decide to hit the beach. They keep doing this until eventually one of them wakes up to find...they have skin cancer!

That our planet doesn't have the resources to sustain our growing population, it's a big fat myth. A staggering proportion of corn fields in Africa are being intensively cultivated with low-quality GM crops and their harvest is going to feed...the chicken and cows that get slaughtered to feed us with...low-quality processed meat food like hamburgers. Stop planting Monsanto crap and give the produce back to the African population and, hey presto!, you'll get healthier Americans and alleviate African famine at the same time!

There are so many broken processes, so much production of waste in our planet, that we are actively destroying our civilisation without even realising it. Our children and grandchildren will probably curse us for doing that.

Andrew this is not usually the case in Australia. Bogan mothers raise Bogan kids because the child learns from the parent. They usually follow in their mothers footsteps and think its acceptable to drop out of school, binge drink, do drugs, and get pregnant at the age of 16. Their mother was like this and doesn't teach them any differently. Therefore the cycle continues.

Again I have to point out education, culture and ressource distribution. If you live in a rich country and you don't starve it doesn't mean you are educated, in fact these people are free riders. However if ressources were scarce and the government wouldn't provide for society's failures then maybe they will grow up and start working on their future.

How about investing in medical technology instead of weapons ? Even with our primitive methods cancer can be cured if detected early.

When you see a beautiful person on the street do you assure his/her parents are also beautiful ? Even among brothers/sisters there can be major differences so you'll never have 100% perfection short of genetic engineering.

Not to mention that models won't make the cut because beauty =/= intelligence.

So who gets to decide this and who will enforce it? Not only is it a terrible idea, but there's no way that any government or other force could control billions in order to accomplish this.

Interesting also that morality was not included in the desirable traits. A world of sociopaths would be horrifying no matter how attractive and intelligent they are...and there are already a large minority of sociopaths (although in the West such a trait is actively selected for by most women.)

And as someone said already, something similar is being done...by feminists to "undesirables," aka men who aren't hot, sociopathic thugs. Leave the intelligence out, and women are actively selecting to breed only with attractive guys.

Why are terrible mating/life choices made in the West? Because external forces interfere and screw things up. If the GovCorp complex was eliminated, then all of a sudden women would find that those decent guys are attractive after all. Society would become more just, stable, and happy just by getting the evil influences out of the way.

History shows us how humanity can do better. Utopia is a fool's dream, but humanity has great potential. No need to resort to insane and impractical ideas. There are forces actively conspiring to prevent this potential from developing or to destroy the fruits of virtue, aka feminism and ilk.

There have been notable cases of government-sponsored eugenics, but they were:

1) implemented in societies with an overt socialist agenda and very strong welfare state (eg. Sweden);
2) targeted at individuals who were, themselves and their potential offspring, be felt as a burden towards their all-encompassing welfare system;
3) the individuals who were targeted surely were not "ugly" people, but people with mental diseases and severe hereditary conditions, such as heart malformations. Surely the eugenics policy wasn't meant for people who just looked ugly! To predicate this already controversial topic on the very subjective matters of aesthetics and exterior beauty is just vilifying, even for the genuine advocates of eugenics!

Then this is the thing, exactly: who gets to decide who is ugly and who's not? And about sociopathic individuals? Considering most people very high up in the ranks of politics, economics and finance, and corporate are certified sociopaths and criminals, would a society ever implement a policy that will start out beheading itself?

As for whom women like to breed with, the topic would probably deserve its dedicated forum section...

Health and intelligence are very dependent on education. Every human being can become healthy and smart given the right conditions. Even beauty is dependent on things like nutrition, exercise and for those who can afford it, plastic surgery.
If the world is full of idiots it's because wealth is not distributed evenly. If Swiss people seem "perfect" it's because they live in one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
