Asian-Americans in Asia are treated just like any 'foreigner', especially in China where you look different than the locals, but people would warm up to you if the area is part of your local heritage and if you speak the local language. In a way, you're a 'foreigner' up until a certain point.
After reading lone_yakuza's posts, it sounds like he's ranting all the time and has the same idealized version of Asians but in a reverse manner. When he gets older, then maybe he'll understand.
