A Hot Girl's Experience of Social Media (Social Experiment)

As some of you may know, I've been on the website interpals lately. I created a profile in order to find people to practice teaching English to. It turns out the site is horrible for finding people that actually want to learn from you. It's more of a social media website - like a combo of facebook and couchsurfing.

I noticed that almost every girl has photos of herself and beneath the photos there are a million guys all drooling with comments like, "Nice girl" "So hot"
There are also lots of girls' profiles that say things like, "Please no perverts." "I'm not interested in cyber sex." "Please no creeps."

So, I had my profile for about a month, and last night I just decided to have some fun and create a fake profile using some random internet photos of a hot blonde girl. The results did not surprise me.

Here are the profile photos I decided to use for my "Amandamazing" profile:

Well within minutes, I was getting barraged with simple, innocuous messages from men saying, "Hello, how are you?"

And in less than a 24-hour period I received a total of about 90 unsolicited messages. Contrast that with my real profile of myself where I maybe got 4 or 5 unsolicited messages in a one-month period.

This fake hot woman is in a total position of power and selection, and has limitless options. I also had an offer of $50 if I would let someone use a picture of me for their indy album cover. So, I decided to have some fun with her. Here are some noteworthy comments:

Its been done for you several time and even Okcupid found the same thing.

Women get bombed online, men not so much. But even then only certain men get bombed = Money, Looks, Status not in that order but it has to be a combination of all three otherwise the only women that contact you on their own are BBW's and Single Mothers.

You're reply rate will be in the 10% and below range as a man, its just the way it is.

I think as a guy I'd have better success in real life meeting foreign women on the street than on the internet.
