Another mass killing, but this time in Taipei!

Sad news. It just takes a few crazies. Sounds like something from the US except that fruit knives were used instead of guns. Imagine if this guy had firearms instead.

Taipei is considered so safe, especially public areas like MRT, that there is very little visible security. The area where the student boarded and was residing, Wanhua, in past decades was perhaps one of the worst areas in Taipei. But these days, Taipei is pretty sterile everywhere, even there I thought. I hope this turns out to be an isolated case. Nobody has ever before been killed on Taipei's MRT system since it opened in 1996.

Wow, I'm sorry for the all the people killed in this tragedy, but still...wherever I am in most parts of Asia, I feel very safe. Can't really say that about a lot of other countries, though.
