You miss the point. My point isn't what is true or false, but rather whether one should be permitted to express one's opinion even if it is false. If someone says that the moon is made of swiss cheese, should I ban them for making a false statement? None of the major sacred texts, including the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Quran, say anything in favor of censorship. It is the modern movements like communism and feminism that support censorship because censorship is needed to protect lies. You don't need censorship to protect truth.

I don't agree with you. I think: Most likely you were born in U.S.A. And most likely, you spent quite some time here in U.S.A. And I think, the 'free speech' nonsense and 'constitutional 1st amendment' nonsense is basically in a large portion of your thinking. At its root, however, the American 'free speech' and '1st amendment' nonsense is not compatible with Christianity or Islam or Judaism {(or any faith actually)}. And I think these contradictory things are the reason U.S.A. was not actually a Judeo-Christian country, ever. It has SOME Judeo-Christian morality but the other specious values such as 'freedom of speech' go against religion. In my estimation, 'freedom of speech', especially as practised in U.S.A., is actually a product of a war-like culture. U.S.A. is one of the most bellicose countries in the history of mankind and it's not surprising it would have an ideology that promotes 'freedom of speech', since 90% of the time, that 'freedom' is used to cast aspersions on others.

I certainly cannot imagine Charlemagne I of Germany countenancing the American ideas of 'free speech', and he was a pure Christian. Same with my Spanish kings such as King Alfonso II {(who was responsible for stopping Islam's incursion into Northern-most Spain)}. I don't think either of them would even look askance at you actually; they would probably kill you in the public square as an example {(Just as Americans don't agree with my views that freedom of speech is nonsense and have an almost psychopathic aversion when I say this)}. I also think, as power becomes de-centralised, then men have a tendency to want total freedom {(such as instead of having a king, having elected leaders.
