Some helpful advice to Westerners: as someone who comes from both the Western and Asian world, Here are some things to think about when you're in Asia:

1) Don't pull that 'macho' American/Anglo bullcrap on Asian people because you're liable to get your butt kicked if you do act like a douchebag here.

2) The 'Frat boy' attitude that is so popular in America won't go over very well in most parts of Asia.

3) Don't get involved in fights between Asians fighting with other Asians, because you'll only end up getting blamed by the cops--just because you're a foreigner.

4) Never make an Asian lose face in front of other men--especially when their in large groups--because you'll end up getting into a fight.

5) Let foreigners fight with other foreigners, while not intervening, because most of the crimes in Asia are just that: foreigners causing trouble with each other, not with Asians.

6) If some Asian is pissing you off--just let it go. It's better to calm down and let things cool down, otherwise, you'll end up in jail or getting deported out of the country.
