UK bre exit has been stopped by the high court
This is why the anti federalist demanded the Bill of Rights along with the right to bear arms and Mr. Wu asks why Americans want their guns.....

Where can I found out more about this turn of events?
Re: UK bre exit has been stopped by the high court
I'll give you the lowdown.
The UK voted for Brexit based on a campaign of hard Brexit and immediate invoking of 'Article 50'.
That hasn't happened.
Theresa May - the prime minister - has decided to go forward with Brexit without consulting parliament or making public her plans.
Unfortunately, because we live in a constitutional monarchy and not a dictatorship, she cannot do that.
So the Supreme court of the UK have stated that if she wants to continue with Brexit, she needs parliamentary approval - NO-ONE IS STOPPING BREXIT (Though it would be a good idea if we did...).
The government are appealing through the supreme court though it is unlikely that they are going to overturn the desicion for Theresa May to be able to act like some Caudillio/a of a banana republic in Central America.
The likely upshot is that Brexit is going to fall flat on its face, simply, there is no appetite for 'hard brexit' (what people voted for and want) and the EU are in the driving seat on the negotiating table.

There is no appetite from the 'Powers That Be' they want concessions from the EU, they still want to trade with the EU - but on their terms.gsjackson wrote:Say what?yick wrote:, simply, there is no appetite for 'hard brexit' (what people voted for and want)
Which won't be happening of course.
