Btw ghost. Did you consider that maybe if you had the money to relocate to a country that fits your personality and soul better than China, that maybe you would be happier abroad and your attitude more optimistic? The thing is China isnt a great fit for you or me either. When we met we discussed this and felt the same way.

Btw guys, ghost is one of the most genuine and empathetic guys you'll ever meet who tells it like it is. When I tell him stuff and my feelings about it, i never have to repeat myself. He gets me instantly and is on the same page. Unlike some of you guys here.

I have never had doubts that Ghosts was one of the better posters in here and, probably, one of the better people. Having met him in person, I am glad you are confirming my thoughts.

By the way, money isn't necessarily a good proxy to happiness abroad. Even those men who move to - say - Singapore because they have the money, or they can make good enough money, to live comfortably there, they don't really report having such a flamboyant life. The better girls are the mainland Chinese, the Vietnamese and the Filipinas or Indonesians who work there, often in the lower rungs of the professional ladder.

Of course money isnt going to help you get good quality sweet feminine girls to love you for you. What i meant was that ghost is stuck in China because he needs to work there, even though he doesnt fit the culture or people, for all the reasons we discussed already. So when you are stuck somewhere you become unhappy and jaded. So i was asking if he had the freedom or money to go anywhere, would he be more positive about HA? You see my point?

Btw ghost does have a girlfriend now. Shes a filipina who works in Singapore. She has good qualities and treats him good. But she has a quick temper and is a drama queen sometimes too.

I see now, thanks for clarifying. Didn't remember Ghost had a job in China. If so, I guess his contractual obligation didn't make it so easy for him to move at short notice. Still, he has been luckier than most to escape the life routine of the US.

If his gf works in Singapore, he will certainly be acquainted with life in the City State. I guess it can be OK if you find yourself a cheap accommodation in a flatshare, always use public transport to move around, eat at the cheaper restaurants and hawkers and travel frugally. To live a decent life one needs at least 150K SGD a year, probably more if not single (anymore). Singapore has little cultural life but so many business/networking/social entertainment opportunities, it's really hard to pass them by especially when invited by your colleagues, friends and acquaintances. And that's why one can run out of cash pretty quickly!

The west has become evil, 90% of westerners are evil. I hope they all suffer and experience misery as the western economies collapse more and more.
