I had some discussion with MrMan, but not really about the background of his wife. We had some discussion and different opinions - not in a bad way - if it really makes sense to marry nowaways (regardless if local or foreign woman) and if it makes sense to bring an Asian woman to USA.

Married since more than 40 years with no troubles so far, I have to see the reality of life - the world changed a lot - and what I did 4 decades ago, will I do it now again if I can change my age back to 23 y/o? It's common sense in the face of numerous statistics linking high sexual partner count with a host of negatives, from infidelity to divorce to mental illness. And some of these risks go up significantly when you make the jump from virgin to non-virgin, btw. In other words, a sexual partner count of 2 is slightly worse than a count of 1. But a count of 1 is significantly worse than a count of 0.

As long as the law is in my favor, I don't care about all those issues. I consider myself following in the grand tradition of decadent European aristocracy, for whom marriage was primarily a matter of providing legitimacy to children and merging families (neither or which I care about, which is why I never married and never had children). It was considered normal for both husband and wife to have outside affairs once the woman had finished having children, and sometimes even before. Obsession with cuckoldry and virginity was especially characteristic of insecure middle class types or savage nobility from prior to the decadent period.
