Btw did any of you see the new Star Wars movie yet? If so, how was it? Better than the previous two? Or still sucks just the same? Any new surprises in it? lol. Or was it totally predictable and full of cliches?

Didn't you guys hate the lame ass attempt at humor in "The Last Jedi"? The attempt at cheap humor was horrid and insulting to the intelligence. Very cheap. Why couldn't they hire better writers? I'm sure many amateur screen writers are far better than whoever wrote the story for that and the totally failed pathetic attempts at being funny which were not.

I just saw this. I'd say the quality was about on par with the other two. Which is not a good thing. No, not a good thing at all. Keep expectations loooowwwwwww.

Yeah she should not be the protagonist. The protagonist is supposed to be an interesting character with charisma and good acting skills, or a very good character look. Besides Rey, the other new characters suck too. They're so bland. Such as Kylo Ren and Finn. Aren't they boring as f**k? No charisma or magnetism at all. Totally bland and lifeless. Not even likable. It's like you don't care if they all die cause they all suck and shouldn't even be in the movie. Even we on this forum have more charisma or personality than they do. lol
Actually I find Kylo Ren to be the most interesting of the bunch, but that isn't saying much. These plots and characters were poorly written, simply stated. If you turn off your brain you can find them entertaining as many people do, but try to think about them for even a minute and the unanswered questions, logical inconsistencies, and lame writing decisions mount like government spending.

One spoiler-free example:

Chewbacca is a tag-along 5th wheel character in each film. The writers intended for fans to LIKE seeing Chewie follow the new cast as they jump from planet to planet, but instead it has the reverse effect. These new characters have no interesting chemistry with Chewie. Chewie was interesting in the original trilogy because Han Solo made him interesting. Chewie cannot speak words on his own but Han can and it is Han who brings out his character so that we learn about the relationship they have with each other (a relationship of teasing each other but always having each other's backs). After they killed Han off, Chewie as a character can hardly justify his continued presence in the story.

Hell, even Leia had more chemistry with Chewie. ("Will someone get this big walking carpet out of my way?" - Leia in episode IV) The new characters do not.

And this is just one of very many bad writing decisions. With spoilers I could list dozens.

The Star Wars franchise has gone full "fempowerment" and men are portrayed as afterthoughts now. No man should EVER pay money to support Star Wars from about 3 movies ago. Why?

Mark Hamill is staying in the franchise because bils come every 30 days. He might be a fem-cuck, but back in the day, he was cool (so I think).

Why "The Rise of Skywalker" was a complete cinematic failure.
