It looks like both of you need to take a break and stop replying to each other. Please put each other on ignore for now. We should enforce a no-contact clause to two people like you two, who hurl mud at each other for too long like this. It should be a new rule. This means both members stop replying or talking to each other's posts, period. These type of mudslinging and name calling pollutes the board and makes it look bad and juvenile.

Dear MrMan. Contrarian Expatriate has informed me that he has agreed to stop insulting and slandering your wife. However, he wants me to be fair and also tell you to stop insulting him too, such as your insinuation that he visits prostitutes, etc. I saw that that was insinuated in several of your posts, although not as an attack. It seems CE's post about the GF allowance has caused some misunderstanding here, which has led some like you into believing that he uses prostitutes. Maybe he doesn't like his "allowance deal" to be labeled as prostitution and finds it demeaning. So please respect his wishes too, now that he has agreed to stop insulting your spouse. If there is a misunderstanding here about CE's position on GF allowances, then please allow him to clear it up and clarify it. So that such misunderstandings can be cleared up.

However, if this is merely a difference in semantics, in that his GF allowance method is merely a form of prostitution to you, then it's a difference in definition or semantics. In that case, the solution would be to not refer to his GF allowance relationship as prostitution anymore. Or stop using that term to label him. Instead, be tactful and call it something else less offensive than "prostitution".

That goes for the rest of you too. If CE doesn't like his "GF allowance" type of relationships to be referred to as prostitution, then be sensitive to his feelings please and call it something else. Perhaps it's best to use his own term of "girlfriend allowance" since that's how he describes it. You guys work it out ok?

I don't think anyone here is expressing moral judgments on @Contrarian Expatriate's lifestyle choice. What triggered some of us into a diatribe, and the toxic language that ensued, is the fact that he kept peddling his lifestyle as a superior expression of red pill wisdom and genuine masculinity.

I for one appreciate this forum for its open discussions and its diversity of opinions. However, respect has to be given to all opinions, especially those that are rooted in good ol' common sense. Just because an argument or a life choice is deviant from the norm, it doesn't mean it's revolutionary or the sign of a truly great mind.

CE can do what he wants with his life. However, he can't expect to be believed, let alone respected, if he keeps making his tales taller every day and attacking everyone who shows some skepticism or disagreement.

Fairness is fairness to all, diba?

That's a good point. Yes I remember that CE talked with a smug of superiority when talking about his GF allowance thing. I guess yeah that was tactless and rubbed others the wrong way. Hope he can speak with less arrogance in the future. We all gotta learn humility, because western culture conditions us to be egotistical. You guys gotta learn to express your views with more tact and in a softer more polite way. It would help if you guys tried to be more positive too. Positive people don't tend to get into these feuds. Too many of us are too negative here. Neither extreme is good, but there is too much negativity here. I'm sure if you guys increase your positivity, a lot of these feuds would not happen.

Actually I do not know. He has never been one of the toxic haters on the forum. He and I may have had a disagreement or too, but he was never like the handful of guys here who clearly hate their lives and are furious that certain others are enjoying theirs. I think he would tend to joust with you as opposed to jousting with me.

Mesaage to everyone: I've been here a long time (including a previous account that zboy accidentally banned long ago, along with a bunch of other people who got banned that same day) and my experience is that Winston has been very tolerant as forum owner, including tolerant of personal criticism of himself. But there are limits. You always have to treat the forum owner differently from everyone else. If you want to engage in a flame war because you had a bad day, pick an ordinary member to flame, not the forum owner. If the forum owner has some pet ideas that get under your skin, avoid those threads or go vent on another forum. Same rules that apply in real life: the host of a party or the owner of the bar is special.

Do we have to have this nonsense again? This nonsense is what you come back to the forum revisit? My recent comments were actually about agreeing with posters, but in order to do this it wasn't possible to not make implied racial slurs, and my style is to make them explicit. If you mean my comments about CE, I think we all know where we stand by now and no-one cares that much, although new readers might find it entertaining. You probably should direct your efforts to other matters. I am working offline and don't think I am even posting that much.
