The multi-million-dollar medical business from South Korea is now starting, thanks to the Corona-Virus
3 S. Korean firms sign contracts to supply coronavirus test kits to US

Three South Korean companies have inked contracts with the US government to export coronavirus test kits, with shipments likely to take place next week, a foreign ministry official said Wednesday.

The companies won interim approval last month from the US Food and Drug Administration for the exports, after US President Donald Trump voiced hope to import Korean-made medical equipment to fight the COVID-19 pandemic during a phone call with President Moon Jae-in.

"The process of the companies making the contracts with the US federal government has been wrapped up," the official told reporters on condition of anonymity.

"The next phase is to deliver the products, and I heard that the goods could actually be shipped to the US possibly sometime next week," he added.

A growing number of countries have recently asked the Seoul government to help secure test kits and other quarantine supplies, as South Korea's containment efforts have started to show positive signs, with its daily number of new COVID-19 cases at around 50 or fewer in recent days.

In South Korea, the coronavirus has killed 200 people, mostly elderly patients with underlying illnesses. Its virus cases topped 10,000.

Also Wednesday, Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak expressed hope that Britain will expand purchases of South Korea's coronavirus test kits during a phone call with his South Korean counterpart, Hong Nam-ki.

Hong said he will send Britain South Korea's fact sheet that included quarantine and economic measures against the virus after Sunak asked how South Korea's quarantine policy became effective in fighting the virus.

South Korea has tested more than 486,000 people since January, when it reported its first COVID-19 patient. The fast and efficient testing has prompted other countries to emulate Seoul's strategy to contain the coronavirus and led to exports of testing kits and medical equipment.

"South Korean data has proven essential to the crisis management programs many other states are now scrambling to assemble," the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies in Israel said in a paper posted on its website on Monday.

The independent think tank said the coronavirus outbreak has led to an improvement in South Korea's global image, saying South Korea is perceived as a model of how to cope with the crisis.

It said South Korea ranked 19th out of 30 major countries in a 2019 soft power index, but it will likely rise much higher after the coronavirus crisis passes.

Re-infection remain a problem, you can catch the corona-virus twice or maybe it survived after your recovery in your own body somehow, somewhere.
It is still under research, why some people recover and suffer again of the corona-virus a few weeks later.

Already 74 patients has been found to be tested positive twice.....

The question is now can you get it even trice or multiple times? Can you infect people who do not have the virus and can you even re-infect recovered patients again?

Concern grows over recurring cases of COVID-19

Amid a dose of optimism Thursday after counting the lowest number of new infections in a single day, South Korean health authorities are growing uneasy over the steady increase in the number of patients who have tested positive twice.

As of Thursday at 12:01 a.m., Korea had 74 patients who tested positive for the virus for a second time, up nine from the previous day, according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Reactivation of the virus is the most probable explanation for the phenomenon, rather than reinfection, health authorities said, adding that investigations were underway to understand what exactly happened.

Of the repeat patients, 25 were in Daegu, the local epicenter of COVID-19, and made up the largest proportion of the total, stoking fears of a second wave of infection.

After following up with virus survivors, the city found 316 symptomatic people, or 6.6 percent, experiencing fever and cough, according to Daegu City.

The city reached out to 5,001 virus survivors in the city over the phone on March 7 and 8, and 4,752 people replied, it added.

Daejeon, Korea’s fifth-largest metropolitan city, on Thursday confirmed its first patient to have tested positive for the virus twice.

The patient, in her 40s, had been discharged March 27 after testing negative, but was confirmed to have the virus earlier this week.

Two patients who have caught the virus twice were identified in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, during an inspection the city carried out to follow up on its nine COVID-19 survivors, according to Cheongju City.

One of the patients was a 4-year-old boy who had fully recovered and returned home on March 20.

“The ratio of patients retesting positive is very small even if were to see more cases. … It is important to examine the virus and check for infectivity in these cases,” said Kwon Joon-wook, deputy director of the KCDC, in a daily virus status briefing earlier in the week.

Local epicenter North Gyeongsang Province reported the death of an 85-year-old woman who died at a nursing home Wednesday, nine days after she was declared virus-free, the provincial government said.

Her death is thought to have resulted from the effects of the virus coupled with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, it added. She had not caught the virus twice.

KCDC Director-General Jeong Eun-kyeong took a cautious approach to drawing a correlation between her bout with COVID-19 and her subsequent death.

“It is not the most precise to say the (elderly lady) passed away after a recovery. ... We will receive her records or death certificate and examine the cause of her death through the central clinical committee,” Jeong said.

Meanwhile, the country had 39 new COVID-19 patients as of Thursday at 12:01 a.m., pushing the total to 10,423, according to the KCDC.

Four people have died and the death toll stands at 204, it added.

The number of those released from isolation upon recovery rose by 197 to 6,973, data showed.

David Wilcock, one of the best orators in the truth movement, gives his take on the Coronavirus, what he's been told by his insiders about it, and some other mind blowing stuff related to it too. Some of this is very out there, and cannot be verified just yet, but very fantastic sounding nonetheless. It's very long though, and includes a prayer and meditation for us all to do to help affect positive changes.

Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines "counterfeit" as "made in imitation of something else with intent to deceive". The trillions of dollars the Fed has recently created are not imitation dollars, but rather the real thing, hence not counterfeit. Nor is the Fed attempting to deceitfully pass these dollars off as gold or anything else other than dollars. The Fed has been very open and honest from the start about what they are doing. Namely, creating fiat money out of nothing and giving that money to the rest of the government to give to whomever it wants to give it to. Those favored recipients can then present that fiat money as legal tender (payment recognized by a court of law) for all debts public and private. No imitation anywhere. All done openly.

Country Confirmed Cases Deaths

United States 532,879 20,577
Spain 163,027 16,606
Italy 152,271 19,468
France 129,654 13,832
Germany 125,452 2,871

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The corona virus is now slowly getting active in Japan, it's getting worse.

JAPAN
Confirmed 6,005
Recovered 762
Deaths 94

https://www.nippon.com/en/japan-data/h0 ... cture.html

Most infections in Japan are reported from the large cities.

In my province, rather rural, out of 2 million people, so far only 15 people have been confirmed to be infected.
In my area there are still hardly any restrictions. Almost daily life as usual. Shops full with all what you need.

Situation is now getting much better in South Korea.
More than 70 percent of people who have been infected with the novel coronavirus in South Korea are fully recovered, and fewer than 3,000 remain in hospital, authorities said Sunday.

As of 12:01 a.m. Sunday, the country’s total number of cases stood at 10,512, up 32 from the previous day, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Of the total, 70.1 percent, or 7,368, are no longer sick and have been declared virus-free. Some 2,930 are still in isolation for treatment and 214 are dead.

Of the newly infected, 24 came from overseas and were diagnosed at airport checkpoints. The other eight contracted the virus in Korea.

The number of new cases per day has hovered around 30 for the past few days, recording 27 on Friday, 30 on Saturday and 32 on Sunday.

For much of Europe, death rate milder than winter of 2016-2017. In worst affected parts of Europe, death rate slightly worse than 2016-2017 winter, due to seasonal flu, which also typically shows exponential increase in deaths, followed by peak and then exponential decline. Decline hasn't yet started with covid19, so maybe it will be much worse than flu in the end, but not yet. My guess is that covid19 is just killing old and sickly people who would normally die of flu, but didn't this winter or last winter because those were mild years for flu.

Interesting video regarding social trust in a time of crisis.

Above link confirms what I wrote previously about janitors unauthorizededly taking disease infected dead bats from the hazardous waste garbage can at the wuhan bioresearch lab and selling those dead bats at the nearby wet market, probably to some cheapskate street food business making soup for sale, who wouldn't care that the bats were already dead.
